How to Get the Rune in Happy (Halloween Spotlight Event)
- Objective: Escape successfully with 15 or more Candy Corns to keep your progress.
- Reward: Rare Meat Knife Skin + Rune for the Halloween Spotlight challenge.
The Rune challenge is your first main task in the event. To complete it, you’ll need to gather 15 Candy Corns from around the Wobmart and successfully escape as a survivor. If you die before escaping, you’ll lose all Candy Corns collected during that round, so play carefully.
For players who prefer playing as the killer, the process works a little differently. You can’t collect Candy Corns directly, but you’ll automatically gain any Candy Corns that survivors you eliminate have gathered. This makes taking out players a quick way to complete the Rune Challenge from the killer’s side.
Candy Corns are small glowing orange pieces scattered throughout Wobmart. They spawn randomly each match but often appear in specific spots. Below are the most reliable areas to check:
- Checkout Counters Around the scanning stations or register area.
- Aisle Ends Usually one Candy Corn near each corner or aisle intersection.
- Storage Room Near stacks of boxes or on backroom shelves.
- Freezer Section Often near the back of the frozen aisle.
- Vegetables Section Sometimes found near the entrance to this section.
Since Candy Corns are shared across all players, others can collect them before you. If your area looks cleared out, focus on surviving and try again in the next round.
How to Get the Key in Happy (Halloween Spotlight Event)
- Objective: Collect 50 Candy Corns and scan 30 items.
- Reward: Legendary Zombified Knife Skin + Key for the Halloween Spotlight challenge.
Once you’ve secured the Rune, you can move on to the Key Challenge — the second major objective. This task takes longer and will require multiple successful runs.
To complete it, focus on scanning items while collecting Candy Corns. Since you can’t scan everything in one match, expect to finish this challenge over 4–5 successful escapes. The key is to stay alive, collect what you can, and gradually build progress across multiple matches.
