Update 42 for Volleyball Legends has officially dropped, and this one’s packed with content. From the introduction of Masteries to the return of Taichou, there’s a lot to unpack. Masteries System
The highlight of Update 42 is the new Masteries feature, now available for YOGAN and HIDARI. This system lets players upgrade their styles from 1-star to 5-star by completing a series of unique mastery challenges.
You can access Masteries from the Styles menu, where each challenge must be completed while using that specific style. Completing all five levels rewards you with in-game prizes like Lucky Spins, exclusive items, and even cosmetics.
- HIDARI Mastery Reward: Replaces your left arm with a robotic arm.
- YOGAN Mastery Reward: Turns your red flames into intense blue flames, showing off your true mastery.
More styles will get Masteries in future updates, so players can expect this system to expand over time.
Taichou Returns
The community favorite, Taichou, is back in the store for a limited time. Known as one of the best setters in the game with the highest win rate, Taichou allows players to power up teammates’ spikes through his magical sets. Style Balance Changes
The developers have rolled out a set of balance adjustments to improve game fairness and variety.
HIDARI:
- Serve Gravity Nerfed: Reduced gravity to make serves easier to receive.
- Spike Gravity Nerfed: Gravity is now consistent from all court positions, making the style harder to master but fairer overall.
KISUKI:
- Spike Buffed: Increased spike power by +11%, giving Kisuki a well-deserved boost.
KAZANA:
- S-Tilt Spike Buffed: Now uses Sanu’s backtilt instead of Bakuri’s, allowing for stronger backcourt hits.
TWINS:
- Float Serve Adjusted: Reduced backspin near the net but increased spin when serving from farther back.

2x Secret Weekend Event
A new 2x Secret Weekend is coming soon, giving players an improved chance to unlock rare styles and abilities.
