All Bosses An Average Campaign

There are two main bosses in the game right now — The Giant and The Bone Drake. Both are located at the end of their respective regions: the Forest and the Dungeon. Each one has a unique combat style that requires different preparation and tactics.

1. Giant Boss (Forest Area)

The Giant serves as the final challenge of the Forest area. This massive enemy combines raw strength with sweeping area attacks, forcing you to stay alert and manage your team’s health carefully.

  • Location: End of the Forest area
  • Boss Drop: Dominant Soul

Attack Patterns:

  1. Pummel – The Giant delivers two quick punches, both dealing the same amount of damage. This move targets a single character and is often used early in the fight.
  2. Blade Sweep – The Giant’s only AOE sword attack, dealing damage to all party members. It’s crucial to heal or shield before this attack lands.
  3. Roar – A ranged attack that damages all allies through a powerful sonic wave. It can’t be blocked easily, so defense buffs are recommended.
  4. Giant Slash – A heavy single-target sword swing that can hit extremely hard. Best to keep your tank’s HP full when this move is incoming.
  5. Skewer – A double-hit move using the sword’s blade and spikes, dealing significant physical damage twice in quick succession.

Tips for Defeating the Giant:

  • High Defense Helps: Classes like Warrior or Knight with damage reduction buffs perform well here.
  • Keep Healing Active: The Priest’s or Druid’s healing abilities are key for surviving the AOE hits.
  • Burst Windows: After Roar or Blade Sweep, the Giant often pauses — use this time to unleash your strongest abilities.

2. Bone Drake Boss (Dungeon Area)

Once you reach the end of the Dungeon area, you’ll encounter the Bone Drake, a corrupted dragon that mixes poison, summons, and devastating area damage. This boss is tougher than the Giant, especially due to its poison-based attacks.

  • Location: End of the Dungeon area
  • Boss Drop: Necrosis Core

Attack Patterns:

  1. Bone Chomp – A powerful bite attack that deals single-target damage.
  2. Ghastly Presence – Applies Poison over time, lasting for 6 rounds. This can quickly wear your party down if not cured.
  3. Call of the Boneyard – Summons a Skeleton minion to assist in battle. Defeating the summon early helps reduce incoming damage.
  4. Cloud Kill – A massive AOE poison attack that damages all allies. This is one of the most dangerous moves in the fight.
  5. Necrosis – A single-target ranged spell that deals damage and applies 3 stacks of poison.
  6. Doomed Breath – Another AOE attack, this one dealing heavy immediate damage with a poison effect.
  7. Bone Tail Swipe – A sweeping tail attack that hits multiple targets and can combo with other moves for lethal damage.

Tips for Defeating the Bone Drake:

  • Bring Cleansing Abilities: Skills that remove poison (like Druid’s Nature’s Gift) are vital here.
  • Focus the Minions: Kill the summoned Skeletons quickly to avoid getting overwhelmed.
  • Stack Resistance: Boons like Elven Skin or Thick Hide help reduce incoming damage.
  • Positioning Matters: Spread out damage buffs and heals evenly, since AOE attacks hit everyone.

Boss fights in An Average Campaign are the ultimate test of your build and team coordination. The Giant teaches you how to handle physical power, while the Bone Drake challenges your endurance against poison and AOE damage. Prepare the right Boons, bring healing and cleanse skills, and time your buffs carefully — with the right setup, these bosses will fall, and you’ll walk away with powerful rewards to strengthen your next adventure.
