All New Pets in Safari Event Update in Grow a Garden

1. Oxpecker – The Cooldown Helper

The Oxpecker is one of the most useful starter Safari pets. Its passive ability shortens cooldowns of other Safari-type pets by 14 seconds after their abilities finish.
This makes it extremely helpful if you’re running multiple Safari pets at once, as it keeps your ability rotations faster and smoother. It’s a great pet for anyone who wants consistent passive activity in their garden.

Passive: When Safari pets finish their ability, cooldown is reduced by 14 seconds.

2. Zebra – Reward Stampede

The Zebra adds a fun and rewarding mechanic. Every 30 minutes, all Zebras in your garden will stampede across from the seed shop to the gear shop (and back), granting you a random Safari reward. It even has a 10% chance to trigger again after each stampede.

This pet is perfect for players farming Safari rewards or Safari Fruits since it automates resource collection while adding visual flair to your garden.

Passive: Every 30 minutes, triggers a stampede for random Safari rewards.

3. Giraffe – Growth Booster

The Giraffe focuses on improving fruit growth and selling value. Every 14 minutes, it eats a fruit located 10 studs high, increasing its sell value by 1.45x and advancing the plant’s growth by 1 hour. It also applies arid mutation to other fruits on the same plant.

This pet is ideal for players who grow tall or rare plants, as it speeds up profit and growth cycles significantly.

Passive: Eats fruits to increase sell value and speeds up plant growth.

4. Rhino – Mutation Charger

If you love hatching eggs or experimenting with fruit mutations, the Rhino is your best pick. Every 14 minutes, it charges into a random egg or fruit in your garden.

  • Eggs: Hatch time is halved.
  • Fruits: Gain a special Mirage Mutation effect.

Combine Rhino with pets like Nightmare Peacock or Bald Eagle for rapid hatching and mutation farming.

Passive: Rams into eggs and fruits for faster hatching and mutation.

5. Elephant – The Pet Enhancer

The Elephant is a powerhouse for pet collectors. Every 23 minutes, it blesses a pet aged 50, resetting it back to age 1 and permanently increasing its base weight by 0.1 kg (as long as it’s under 2 kg). This blessing can’t be mimicked or refreshed, making it a unique long-term buffing pet.

Passive: Blesses pets to reset age and boost base weight permanently.

6. Mantis Shrimp – Random Punch Effects

The Mantis Shrimp has one of the most unpredictable but fun abilities. Every 14 minutes, it punches random items in your garden, each producing a different effect — similar to what you get from Suspicious Soup. It’s great for experimental players who like random surprises in their setup.

Passive: Punches items in the garden for various random effects.

7. Stag Beetle – PvP Challenger

A new mechanic introduced in the event is pet battles, and the Stag Beetle brings it to life. Every 6 minutes, it challenges another player’s beetle in a 1v1 battle. The higher your beetle’s level and weight, the higher your chance to win. Victories grant rewards like Safari items or coins.

Passive: Battles other beetles every 6 minutes for random rewards.

8. Armadillo – Player Transformation Pet

The Armadillo adds humor and interaction. Every 8 minutes, it rolls into a ball and transforms your character into an armadillo ball for 30 seconds. While mostly for fun, it’s a unique trolling pet perfect for social play.

Passive: Rolls into a ball and turns the player into an armadillo for 30 seconds.

9. Hydra – The Legendary Egg Hatcher

The Hydra is easily one of the strongest pets in the entire event. Every 41 minutes, it ages itself up by 1, hatches an egg, and applies a Terran Mutation to a random fruit. It cannot be mimicked or refreshed, ensuring its actions are consistent and fair.

It also has a secondary effect — when selling fruits with Terran mutations, there’s a 6% chance that a random mutation from that fruit is copied to another fruit in your garden.

  • Passive 1: Automatically hatches an egg every 41 minutes and applies Terran mutation.
  • Passive 2: Selling mutated fruits can spread mutations to others.

Which Safari Pet Is the Best? – Tier List

  • A Elephant, Rhino Excellent for pet growth and egg hatching efficiency.
  • B Zebra, Giraffe Great for farming and passive bonuses.
  • C Oxpecker, Mantis Shrimp Helpful but situational.

The Safari Event in Grow a Garden has expanded pet gameplay like never before. From the efficient cooldowns of the Oxpecker to the powerful automation of the Hydra, each new pet brings something fresh to the table.

Whether you want to speed up your harvest, earn rare mutations, or just roll around as an Armadillo, this update has something for everyone. Plan your team carefully, experiment with combos, and take full advantage of these new pet abilities before the event ends — your garden’s growth depends on it.
