Anime Vanguards Update 9.0 Guide – New Units, Anniversary Event, Codes & More!

Anime Vanguards just dropped its highly anticipated Update 9.0, and it’s packed with new content that players won’t want to miss. From 13 brand-new units to an exciting Anniversary Event and Battle Pass, this update brings fresh ways to progress, trade, and enjoy the game. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest features.

New Units in Update 9.0

This update introduces 13 new units across various categories: Normal, Shiny, Exclusive, and Secret. Some notable units include:

• Cat, Cat (Stupid) – Normal & Shiny
• Rummie, Rummie (Scythe) – Normal & Shiny
• Callasuba, Callasuba (Squad) – Normal & Shiny
• Lizard, Lizard (Fission) – Normal & Shiny
• Dot, Dot (Nemesis) – Normal & Shiny
• Traitless, Traitless (Vigilante) – Normal & Shiny
• God, God (Standless / Above Heaven) – Normal & Shiny
• Shero, Hollowseph, Thunder, Hellkiller, Senator, Rideon vs Samuel

New Trading System

Trading has finally arrived! Players level 50+ can now trade:

• Limited Units (Vanguard, Secret, Exclusive, Mythic, etc.)
• Giftable Items, Bundles, Battle Passes
• Trait Rerolls (purchased with Robux)
• Skins and Familiars, Limited and Non-Limited

Note: Traits, Ascensions, and Unit Levels reset upon being traded.

Anniversary Event Highlights

To celebrate the 1st Anniversary, the update introduces:

1. Legacy Blitz – Venture through previous update stages in the Anniversary Dungeon to collect limited Cake Slices currency, culminating in a boss fight against the Developers themselves.
2. Anniversary Shop – Exchange Cake Slices for items like Yuruzuu Familiar, Trait Rerolls, Gems, and Evolution Items.
3. Anniversary Banner – Obtain one Secret Unit and six Exclusive Units using Cake Slices.

Other event features include a new Anniversary Lobby & OST to enhance the festive atmosphere.

Battle Pass – Muscle & Metal

The 8th season of the Battle Pass brings:

• Exclusive units: Senator and Rideon vs Samuel
• Rewards such as Gems, Trait Rerolls, and more across the tiers

Events & Challenges

Update 9.0 adds 6 limited-time events and multiple permanent events:

• Limited-Time Events: 1st Anniversary, Anniversary Trials, The Hellkiller, The Calamity Arrives, The Hollow Knight, Fated Feel, Evolution Madness, Odyssey Outrage, Familial Foley, Recurring Decadence, Raiding Rifts, Something’s Shiny, Shining Sun
• Permanent Events: Solitary Ninja, The Golden King, Warrior of Sound, The King’s Return, The Strongest

These events offer new ways to earn rewards, Vanguard Familiars, and unique evolution items.

Shop & Quality-of-Life Updates

• Permanent Shop Stock Reset – Trait Rerolls, Stat Chips, and more fully restocked across all shops.
• New Cursors – Purchase sets using Trophies: Honored Click, Night Remembers, Shadows Will Obey
• Inventory Performance Fix – Unit inventory is now smoother and 2–3x faster.
• UI & QOL Improvements – Mailbox revamp, stat filtering, multi-sell options, event UI split, skin lock, cancel buttons for cosmetics, and improved hover animations.
