If you’re just starting your journey in Weak Legacy 2, progressing through the levels can feel overwhelming at first. This guide will take you step-by-step from level 0 to the current max level (1400), including the best clans, breathing styles, demon arts, and tips to speed up your grind. Getting Started (Level 0–15)

The first thing you should do before playing seriously is spin for a good clan. The strongest clan right now is Tsugikuni, which gives access to both Sun Breathing V2 and Moon Breathing V2.

If you can’t get it, Kamado is your next best option since it still offers Sun Breathing V2. Other solid alternatives include Yuzu, Tikito, Atsui, and Tommy — they’re not as powerful but still good for early progression.

Once you’ve chosen your clan, start grinding the Dummy Quest at the starter village. Do this until you reach level 10, and buy a Katana while you’re there. Keep completing Dummy Quest 2 until you’re level 15 and have around 10,000 yen. If you don’t have enough yen, continue grinding until you do or until you reach level 30+.

Slayer or Demon Path (Level 15–50)

At level 15 with 10,000 yen, you’ll need to decide your path — Slayer or Demon.

  • Slayer Path: If your clan is Kamado or Tsugikuni, go for Sun Breathing V2, one of the best PVE abilities. You can start with Insect, Flame, Thunder, or Mist Breathing before advancing.
  • Demon Path: Visit Musen in the Winter Village to become a demon for 1,000 yen. Good Blood Demon Art choices are Roi Manipulation (Daki) or Cryinesis (Dalma).

Grind until level 30, then Slayers can take the Final Selection to join the Corps. Completing it unlocks Reputation, giving bonus health and damage over time. Also, get the Slayer Uniform for +300 durability.

At this point, buy all Gourd Sizes from the starter village to reach Breathing Level 5 for faster breathing regeneration.

Mid Game Progression (Level 50–250)

At level 50, you can unlock Sun Breathing from the Yorichi NPC if you meet these requirements:

  • Level 50
  • 100,000 yen
  • Sun Soul (drops from Tanjiro Raid Boss at Slayer HQ)

Note: only Kamado or Tsugikuni clans can access Sun Breathing V2. Otherwise, aim for Mist Breathing V2 or Water Breathing V2.

From level 50 to 150, grind Dummy Quests 4–7 around the smaller villages. After level 150, move on to Boss Quests, following the waypoints. These usually increase in increments of 25–50 levels.

Once you reach level 250, you’ll unlock Dungeons. These are tough early on, so team up with others to reach wave 25 for better rewards.

Late Game Progression (Level 250–1400)

Continue farming Boss Quests from level 150–700, then switch to Normal Quests from 700–950. After that, go back to Boss Quests until max level (1400).
To make boss farming faster, activate your Slayer Mark or become an Upper Moon. Both give temporary buffs to damage and defense for about 20 seconds.

If you’re looking for a powerful weapon, save up for the Ice Katana — it costs 3 Crystals and 1,000,000 yen, and you can find it near the Winter Village.

Keep an eye on V2 abilities for your Breathing Style or Demon Art. These upgrades are much stronger than their V1 versions and will keep you competitive in future updates. That’s everything you need to know to reach max level in Weak Legacy 2. Focus on choosing the right clan, follow the quest order, and make smart upgrades — and you’ll hit level 1400 faster than you think.
