A new update is on the way for Grow A Garden, and this time the focus is on a full Smithing Event rework. Many systems are changing, new rewards are coming, and several unique pets and items will be added. To help you prepare before the update arrives, this guide walks through every part of the leak, including how the new event works, what items you can craft, and which pets you can collect. Also check out our Grow a Garden Codes and Animals Tier List for more rewards!

How the New Smithing Event Works

The upcoming Smithing Event will replace the current Safari Harvest Event. In this new version, you’ll find a new NPC called Smith standing at the center of the event area. Smith gives you quests that require you to melt or “submit” items to him.
Items you can submit include:

  • Gear
  • Pets

Fruit is not listed as a valid submission.
After you submit items, Smith will reward you with Coal, which becomes the main crafting material for the event.

Point System

Each item type gives you points. Higher-tier items give more points.

Pet Points:

  • Common: 1
  • Uncommon: 2
  • Rare: 3
  • Prismatic: 7

Gear Points:

  • Common: 1
  • Prismatic: 7
  • Transcended: 10

The higher your total points, the better the reward chest you receive.

Loot Table Example

At 5 points:

  • 50% chance: Common
  • 30% chance: Uncommon
  • 20% chance: Rare
  • 10% chance: Legendary

Coal Types

Common loot gives different Coal types, including:

  • Common Coal
  • Rare Coal
  • Legendary Coal
  • Sprinkle
  • Divine Coal

These resources are used for crafting higher-tier items later in the event.

New Machine: Pet Age Expansion Machine

This new machine allows pets to exceed the 100 max age limit.

How It Works

  • Insert a pet aged 100
  • Processing time: 1 hour 30 minutes
  • Cost: 5T
  • New max age becomes 125
  • Higher age = stronger passive bonuses

Duplication Clarification

The machine can also combine duplicate pets. Instead of cloning cheats, this system merges two identical pets, giving one of them increased age.

The Smithing Event update adds new systems, new pets, new rewards, and deeper crafting mechanics that change how players prepare and upgrade their gardens. Stockpile Common Eggs, gather gear you don’t mind sacrificing, and save Shackles so you’re ready to craft the best items on day one. With new Divine pets, a powerful age-boosting machine, and unique cosmetic tools, this update is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet for Grow A Garden.
