The Aquatic Index is one of the biggest additions from the Radioactive Event in Steal a Brainrot. This collection introduces a full set of water-themed brainrots, each with unique designs and rewards. If you’re trying to complete the Aquatic Index or unlock the Aquatic Base, this guide breaks down everything you need to know. Also check out our Steal a Brainrot Codes for more rewards!

What Is the Aquatic Index?

The Aquatic Index is a new collection featuring 25 ocean-themed brainrots. Each one represents a creature or character inspired by the sea, including dolphins, octopuses, belugas, sharks, and even their zombie variants. To unlock the special reward called the Aquatic Base, you only need to collect 23 out of the 25 brainrots in the index, making it a goal that’s very achievable if you play during the event.

How to Get Aquatic Brainrots in Steal a Brainrot

There are two main ways to collect aquatic brainrots. The first one is the most important method, while the second is a good backup option.

1. Fishing Mini-Game

The fishing system is the core feature for collecting aquatic brainrots. A fishing event appears every hour, and when it starts, the lobby transforms into an underwater world. A fishing-rod icon will show up on the bottom right of your screen to let you know the event is live. You will start with a basic Starter Rod, but upgrading your rod using the Fisherman NPC will greatly improve your chances at catching rare and secret brainrots.

How to fish:

  • Equip your rod from the hotbar
  • Hold left-click to charge the power bar
  • Release it when the bar reaches the upper area
  • Wait for a bite and then start clicking rapidly
  • Keep the catch meter from dropping to zero or the brainrot escapes

During each event, you can catch anything from common aquatic brainrots to the rarest ones in the collection.

2. Stealing from Other Players

If someone already owns an aquatic brainrot you need, you can attempt to steal it right from their base. The mechanic works the same as stealing any other item in the game. It’s risky, but it can help fill missing entries in your Aquatic Index.
