Fishing is one of the most important features in Steal a Brainrot, especially after the Aquatic Index update. This guide explains everything you need to know, from how events work to the exact steps for catching your first aquatic brainrot. Check out all Aquatic Brainrots in Steal a Brainrots!
Understanding the Fishing Event
Fishing isn’t available all the time. Instead, it appears through an hourly event that transforms the entire lobby into an underwater environment. When the event begins, a fishing-rod icon will pop up on the bottom right corner of your screen. This icon tells you the event is active and you can start fishing immediately.
At the start, every player receives a Starter Rod. It works fine for common catches, but if you want higher-tier aquatic brainrots, you’ll want to upgrade through the Fisherman NPC. Better rods give you stronger pull strength and higher chances of catching rare or secret brainrots.
How to Fish in Steal a Brainrot
Follow these steps once the event begins:
- Equip your fishing rod from your hotbar.
- Hold left-click to build up your power meter.
- Release the button when the power bar gets close to the top for the best cast.
- Wait until something bites the line.
- When a brainrot bites, click rapidly to pull it in.
- Keep the catch meter from dropping to zero or the aquatic brainrot will escape.
If you manage to keep the bar full long enough, the catch is secured and added to your inventory.
What You Can Catch
During each fishing event, you can earn anything from low-tier aquatic brainrots to ultra-rare and secret ones. The rarity depends heavily on your rod, your timing, and a bit of luck. Completing the Aquatic Index becomes much easier when you consistently join these events and upgrade your equipment.
Fishing in Steal a Brainrot is simple once you understand the timing and the event cycle. Join the underwater event each hour, upgrade your rod when you can, and practice your timing to increase your haul. With enough patience, you’ll reel in everything from common aquatic brainrots to the rarest secrets in the collection.
