How Resources Work in Mage Arena

When a match begins, you’ll start with a chest that gives six random materials. To get more materials, you must capture each biome related to that resource. Once captured, a helper creature will bring materials back to your base over time. Here’s how each biome works:
- Mushroom Biome → Gives mushrooms
- Crystal Caves → Gives crystals
- Frog Bog → Gives frogs
- Misty Mountains → Gives rocks
- Forest Hills → Gives logs
Once your team controls a biome, the resource tied to that biome will appear near your castle at regular intervals.
All Soups and What They Do
Soups give temporary boosts, and all of them can be stacked. If you die while the effect is active, the effect stays with you.
1. Crystal Soup
- Gives a sprint speed boost for 2 minutes
- Can be stacked for more speed
- Uses more stamina the more you stack
- Supposed to boost spell power, but testing shows it doesn’t
2. Mushroom Soup
- Gives a jump boost for 2 minutes
- Removes fall damage
- Can be stacked to jump higher
- Also claimed to boost spell power, but doesn’t in practice
3. Log Soup
- Heals or overheals 50 HP
- Overheal stays until damaged
- Can be stacked to create a tank-like build
- Visual UI is bugged, but the effect works
4. Frog Soup
- Auto-extends your tongue when you look at an enemy
- Forces the enemy to drop their item
- Only has one use
- No duration limit—effect activates even if you encounter a player minutes later
5. Rock Soup
- Plays your voice loudly across the entire map for 1 minute
- Mostly used for fun or to distract players
Excalibur – The Secret Craftable
Excalibur is the strongest blade in the game and the only craftable not shown in the recipe list.
How to Get Excalibur
- Both sword pieces spawn in the Mausoleum, a randomly generated dungeon
- The game places the two pieces as far apart from each other as possible
- The dungeon contains skeletons and the stronger skeleton mage
- Break every skeleton completely, as they split into parts
- The mage skeleton hits hard and has high health—use cover and keep distance
- Break vases to find hidden spells
Once you find both parts, take them to your base and drop them onto the crafting table.
Excalibur Stats
- Deals 100 damage per hit
- Intended to permanently kill players, but that feature isn’t active
- Only craftable that stays in your inventory after death
Movement Craftables
1. Frog Balloon
Lets you float upward and glide down. With the right angle, you can clear an enemy castle. Works extremely well with the Rock Spell to cross the map quickly.
2. Walking Stick
Crafted with two logs. Increases walking and sprint speed.
3. Fungal Walking Stick
Upgraded version of the walking stick. Gives more speed plus a jump boost.
4. Mushroom Sword
Lets you bounce off floors or walls. Doesn’t cancel fall damage, but won’t bounce you high enough to take damage unless used from height.
Also knocks enemies much higher, dealing fall damage.
5. Mushroom Man
A small follower that gives a jump boost when you jump on him.
- Follows the last player who placed him
- Can be stolen from enemies by picking him up
- Cannot be killed
- Always returns even if you die or teleport
Weapon Craftables
1. Dart Gun
- Inverts enemy movement controls for 15 seconds
- Effect stacks if you keep hitting the same player
- Deals about 10 damage per shot
- Has infinite ammo
2. Frog Spear
Instead of dealing damage, it forces the target to drop items.
One of the only ways to steal Excalibur from a player.
3. Frog Leather Blade
Basic sword that deals around 20 damage per hit.
If you move your cursor while swinging, it can hit multiple times very fast.
4. Silver Seed Bramble
Creates a root zone that damages players standing on it.
- Roots last 60 seconds
- Has three uses
- Each use has a 30-second cooldown
Great for blocking flag captures or controlling high ground.
5. Golem
Crafted with one crystal and one rock.
- Follows you
- Throws crystals at enemies
- Immune to magic
- Very hard to dodge
- Cannot be killed
One of the strongest craftables overall.
Utility Craftables
1. Orb
Shows what a random opponent sees.
Useful for hunting down hidden players in late game.
2. Levitator
Lets you pick up players and carry them.
Has 45 seconds of charge and regenerates passively.
You can even lift yourself by looking down.
3. Shrink Ray
Shrinks a player for 40 seconds and gives them a high-pitch voice.
Great for slipping through small windows or hiding.
You can’t shrink yourself.
4. Spore Frog
Releases a smoke cloud.
Good for ambushes or blocking vision, though it’s more situational.
5. Thruming Stone
Casts a force field that blocks projectiles.
- 10-second cooldown
- Can block fireballs, magic missiles, thunderbolt, and more if timed correctly
