Quest Walkthrough
1. Tracking Down Feng Jisheng
Once you reach Moonveil Peak, follow the cries echoing through the area. The sound will guide you downhill toward an opening in the ground. Interact with this entrance to drop into the carved Yin-Yang chamber.
Inside, follow the voice and examine the quiver lying nearby. This begins your conversation with Feng Jisheng, who is stuck behind a stone barrier and warns you about the active formation in the room.
Pick up the quiver to obtain flaming arrows, then look directly across the room. A doorway covered in vines blocks your path. Use the flaming arrows to burn through the obstruction and step onto the glowing ring beyond the threshold. This triggers a mechanism that lifts the stone wall, releasing Feng.
Collect any nearby treasure, then speak with Feng to advance.
2. Exploring the Cave and Solving the Formation Puzzle
Feng reveals he was searching for his former senior, Tian Ying, who may have left clues hidden in this cavern. To proceed deeper, he needs your help completing the Bagua formation.
Two of the Bagua points are inactive. Stand on each to demonstrate how they react. This activates the central device. Investigate the mechanism to read a riddle hinting toward the solution.

Puzzle Steps:
- Rotate the central mechanism once.
- Adjust the four pedestals so: Two pedestals face inward toward the core. > Two pedestals point outward. > Airflow will visibly move toward the center when arranged correctly.
Completing the formation opens a shaft below. Use Mighty Drop to safely descend.
Inside the chamber, inspect the glowing spots in the room—dusty shelves, letters, abandoned belongings, and scattered notes. These items reveal that this chamber once belonged to Tian Ying.
Follow Feng to a wall between two lanterns. Interact with it to raise the concealed stone gate, allowing access deeper into the mountain.
3. Facing the Albino Black Bear

Beyond the gate is a downward path leading into a wide, empty training ground. Enter the area to trigger a cutscene revealing the Thick-Skinned Albino Black Bear.
This encounter doubles as a tutorial for mastering Qiankun Shift (Tai Chi). The bear is aggressive, so stay alert.
How to Subdue the Bear:
- Use Tai Chi to grab the bear’s momentum.
- Redirect and throw the bear into each of the three stone piles: Right pile > Left pile > Forward pile
- Each impact progresses the fight and breaks hidden treasure.
Even though it’s a teaching encounter, the bear hits hard. Heal whenever necessary.
Once all three rock piles are destroyed and the bear is down, collect any remaining treasure. Talk to Feng afterward to officially complete the Lost Chapter.
This Lost Chapter mixes exploration, environmental puzzles, and a unique Tai Chi combat tutorial that prepares you for later encounters in Where Winds Meet. Clearing every item in the cave, solving the formation correctly, and mastering the bear fight ensures you walk away with solid rewards and a better grasp of the game’s mystical mechanics.
