A major update has just landed in Cookie Run: Kingdom, and it brings one of the biggest content drops of the year. This patch introduces new bosses, fresh events, a new power system, returning raid content, a special gacha banner, and the arrival of Chess Choco. With eight unique bosses, rotating rewards, and several new progression systems, this update is packed with things to do. Here’s a full breakdown of everything added in the November 19th update.
Grand Dust Hotel Story Event
The update opens with a new storyline set in the Grand Dust Hotel. This location was built by the Chess Choco Cookie twins and becomes the meeting place for the Beast Cookies and Dark Enchantress Cookie. The event sets the tone for the new challenges and unlocks the main activity of this patch.
Abyss of the Four – New Boss Challenge
Abyss of the Four is the main event activity. Players face four special Beast Cookie bosses:
- Shadow Milk
- Eternal Sugar
- Burning Spice
- Mystic Flower
You spend Abyss tickets to enter, which regenerate every 3 hours. This event is time-limited, and matches become unavailable once tallying begins at the end of the season.
Power System
Each boss can drop unique powers after defeat. These powers act as buffs you equip to strengthen your runs.
- You start with 1 power slot
- You can expand up to 4 slots
- Powers have two types: regular and tactical
- Only one tactical skill can be equipped at a time
Choosing the right powers is a big part of beating higher levels.
Challenge Level
A challenge slider lets you increase battle difficulty in exchange for better rewards. Raising the challenge applies disadvantages to your team but unlocks better stage rewards and leaderboard score potential. You must play at challenge level 1 or above to qualify for rankings.
Stage, First-Clear, and Ranking Rewards
Each boss has:
- Stage rewards
- First-win rewards per challenge level
- A separate ranking board
Faster clear times and higher difficulty mean better ranking positions.
Abyss Shops
Each boss has its own shop with unique rewards. You earn boss-specific tokens depending on which stage you clear. Shops include items such as:
- Beast Cookie soulstones
- Tickets
- Cookie cutters
- Special keys used to convert currency between shops
The shops reset, meaning players can farm a large amount of Beast Cookie progression materials.
Beast Raid Returns
Beast Raid is back and unlocks after clearing Crispia 8-30. The boss rotates weekly, letting you fight all four Beast Cookies across the season.
Beast Raid Details
- Requires Beast Raid tickets
- Six difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert, Master, Challenge
- Rank is based on points earned before defeat
- Points give both ranking rewards and raid shop coins
- Losing still grants part of the stage reward
- A special icing can be crafted by purchasing all four shards from the shop
- Leftover Beast Raid coins convert to regular coins after the event ends
Each season also includes Beast Raid missions that give extra icing pieces, biscuits, and other materials.
Dark Supremacy Beast Gacha
A special banner increases the pull rate for Beast Cookies (except Silent Salt).
- Featured rate: 2.6020%
- Regular rate: 1.2514%
Every 250 pulls grants a Beast Cookie Chest, helping you secure copies or soulstones more consistently.
Chess Choco – New Cookie
Chess Choco is an Epic Bomber who uses a unique chess-themed attack pattern.
Skill Overview
- The battlefield becomes a chessboard
- Pawn White and Pawn Black summon Rook and Bishop attacks
- Rook pushes enemies and buffs allies
- Bishop knocks enemies and adds debuffs
- At the end, the board shatters for extra damage
- If both debuffs apply at the same time, they trigger Checkmate
- Reaching the end of the board may promote a pawn into a stronger piece
Chess Choco is designed as a multi-effect damage dealer with layered debuffs and buffs.
Gem Quest – New Minigame
Gem Quest is a mining-style activity where you collect ores and minerals within a time limit.
- Progress resets each season
- Pickaxe power increases each season
- Earn Pickaxe Coins to buy items in the shop
- Mine different ores for different minerals and scores
New ore types will be added in future seasons.
