This time, the leaks surrounding the next Grow a Garden update are getting a lot more interesting. Even though the developer hasn’t officially confirmed whether the upcoming patch will focus on Smithing Part 2 or something seasonal like a Christmas update, several clues already point toward a continuation of the smithing feature. Based on the preview shared, there are multiple new items, mechanics, and possibly the game’s first trading feature.
New Seed Leak
One of the most noticeable early leaks is a new seed type. This plant seems similar to the ZebraZincle in animation style, but instead of growing upward, it spreads horizontally and forms a swirling flower-like pattern.
The design includes three moving colors: blue, purple, and pink. The pattern rotates, making it visually unique compared to existing plants. The name of this seed hasn’t been finalized yet, and the developer even asked the community for name suggestions. With its animated style and rarity, many players believe it could become the next transcender seed.
NPC Trader and New Trading Token System
A new NPC named Trader is expected to appear in the next update. While some players assumed this might introduce a full trading server like in Pet Simulator, the system looks a bit different. Instead of direct trading, players will likely complete quests or submit items to the Trader.
Through this process, players can earn a new currency called Trade Tokens. The amount of tokens seems to scale, starting from small rewards like +50 tokens up to 25,000 tokens. There are also hints of paid skips, similar to ingredient skips already in the game, meaning players may buy faster progression.
Trading Booths
The leaks also mention items called Trading Booth Kits. These appear to be decorations or functional stands where players can display items, similar to shop booths in trading plaza-style games. Whether these booths will allow actual selling or are only cosmetic remains unclear, but the presence of tokens suggests a marketplace system may be coming.
New Crafting Materials and Pets
More crafting items are also on the way. Gold ingots and silver ingots will join existing crafting materials like coal. These materials may be used for smithing recipes or required as submission items for the Trader NPC.
Two new pets, Silver Piggy and Golden Piggy, were also spotted. Based on past patterns, they might increase luck or boost odds related to silver and gold item drops.
Chimera Stone
Another item shown is the Chimera Stone. Its purpose is still unknown, but since it appears alongside smithing content, it may become a high-tier crafting material required for rare recipes.
Based on the leaks, this update looks bigger than many expected. The combination of trading mechanics, new seeds, new crafting systems, and potentially a marketplace could shift how players progress. Some may enjoy the added depth and economy, while others may worry that the game could evolve into a trading-heavy simulator. For now, these leaks give a solid preview of what might arrive in the near future. Until the official announcement lands, players can only speculate—but the update seems promising and packed with new content in Grow a Garden.
