A new update has arrived in Adopt Me and it brings a set of brand-new pet minigames. These activities let you earn bucks and XP while completing orange tasks, which makes leveling any pet much faster than before. How to Access the Pet Minigames
To use the new features, first go to your pet pen. There will be a button that says Play Minigame. Once you start, you’ll immediately enter the item-sorting challenge. There’s no trick to unlocking it—just make sure your pet has orange tasks available, otherwise the minigame won’t show up.
Minigame 1: Item Sorting (Poop and Toys)
This is the main indoor minigame and it’s simple once you understand the pattern.
How It Works:
- Good items (bones, toys, books, frisbees) should be clicked.
- Bad items (poop) must be clicked and dragged into the bin.
- Clicking poop instead of dragging counts as a mistake.
- After a short time, a countdown timer appears and the game speeds up.
Strategy Tips:
- Don’t drag everything. Only drag the poop.
- Keep your hand close to the center of the screen for faster reaction time.
- Aim for streaks but don’t panic when the game speeds up.
- The goal is to collect XP quickly, not perfect scores.
What You Earn:
- Around 40–50 XP per session
- A few bucks each round
- XP is equal to multiple normal pet tasks, so it’s worth grinding.
Minigame 2: Catching Fireflies (Camping Task)
This minigame activates when the camping task appears and takes place at the campsite.
How It Works:
- You have 1 minute and 30 seconds.
- Walk into glowing fireflies to collect them.
- More fireflies spawn as you play.
Strategy Tips:
- Check higher areas such as rocks since many players ignore them.
- If you have mobility toys or grapplers, try them. Some may work, others won’t.
- Move constantly; the more you collect, the faster they respawn.
What You Earn:
- Small amount of bucks
- Orange progress for aging pets
- Bonus fun if you’re grinding multiple pets
This isn’t a high-reward minigame, but it makes camping tasks a lot more interesting.
Minigame 3: Jet Ski Time Trial (Beach Task)
When you get the beach task, head toward the water. Jet skis will appear.
How It Works:
- Start the time trial on a jet ski.
- Follow the route as fast as possible.
- Time doesn’t change how much you earn, but try to be smooth.
Strategy Tips:
- Hug corners tightly so you don’t slip wide.
- Don’t turn too sharply or you’ll bounce off the path.
- Focus on completing, not speed.
Rewards:
- About 10 bucks per run
- Extra XP for completing the task

How Long Are Minigames Available?
These minigames are available until December 5th. If the community enjoys them, they may become permanent. If not, they likely won’t return, so it’s a good idea to play while they’re active.
The new Adopt Me pet minigames make leveling pets faster and more enjoyable. While you don’t earn huge amounts of bucks, the XP gains are strong and perfect for aging pets through tasks.
