How to Get Deku Hope/Ninth Universal Piece Guide

Universal Piece has dropped a new update featuring the Deku Hope/Ninth power. This update also adds a new island, quest chain, and an item banner system. Deku Location Universal Piece

Deku can only be unlocked through a quest chain found on the new Hero Island. Make sure you’re prepared with decent damage and mobility since you’ll be moving between different islands and fighting several enemies.

Once you reach Hero Island, speak to the All-The-Time NPC. This NPC gives a multi-step quest line with five tasks. You can complete them in any order, so feel free to tackle what’s easiest first.

Deku Quest Requirements

Here’s what the quest chain includes:

1. Collect 100 Garbage Material

These drop from the monster mobs around Hero Island. This step is pretty straightforward, but depending on respawn speed, it may take a few minutes.

2. Help 15 People

This part involves random NPCs that spawn across various islands. Only 5–7 NPCs spawn each hour, so this step may take the longest. Switching servers can help speed it up.

3. Defeat Three Special Grade or Three Normal Grade Enemies

Either option completes the requirement. Choose whichever enemies you can kill faster or whichever spawns more reliably in your world.

4. Defeat the Ninth Boss

To fight this boss, you need a Hero Orb, which has a 5% drop rate from monster mobs. Once you have one, go to the Event Island and spawn the boss. If you struggle, bring help or run with a group.

5. Defeat Two Red Knights

These enemies are tough, so expect a longer fight if you’re solo. Clearing them completes the final requirement of the chain.

How to Unlock Deku

After finishing all five quests, return to the All-The-Time NPC. To officially unlock Deku, you must pay:

• 100 Money
• 25,000 Gems

Once paid, the power is added to your collection.

The update also introduces an item banner that refreshes every hour. You can spend resources to roll for items, boosts, and possible rare gear. Since it resets frequently, check it between quest steps for possible upgrades.

So, Farming with friends makes quests faster, especially boss fights and rare mob hunts. Server hopping helps with NPC spawns and Red Knight tracking. Save gems before starting if you’re short on the 25k requirement.
