Horizon Legacy just received a fresh update featuring two new obtainable weapons: Garp’s Melee (Galaxy Punch) and the new Takamura weapon. Both require completing quests and beating bosses, so this guide will walk you through each step in a clear order.

Both items come from different quest lines. One requires running through Marineford content, and the other is locked behind a new island. Before starting, make sure your level and equipment are enough to clear boss fights consistently.
How to Get Garp’s Melee (Galaxy Punch)
Garp’s melee unlocks only after completing a set of quests in Marineford Island. There are three key quests tied to characters from the One Piece universe.
Here’s the order:
1. Complete Luffy’s Quest
- Objective: Defeat two ghost ships.
These ships appear periodically, so timing matters. Prepare ranged abilities or mobility to deal with ship cannons and NPC mobs.
2. Complete Sabo’s Quest
- Objective: Defeat the Marineford boss five times.
This boss spawns directly on the island. Since spawn timers exist, it helps to join public servers or rotate worlds if you want faster progress.
3. Complete Whitebeard’s Quest
- Objective: Activate map buttons that spawn every 10 minutes.
These buttons appear randomly at the front of various islands. When one spawns, the game sends a message in chat saying: “Traces of the pirate has spawned.”
After completing all three quests, return to Garp NPC on Marineford and claim Galaxy Punch.
Boss spawn timers in this chain:
- Sabo/Luffy bosses: every 20 minutes
- Galaxy boss: every 30 minutes
Plan your farming around these timers for efficiency.
How to Get Takamura Weapon
Once you finish Garp’s weapon or if you want to skip straight to the next item, head to the new Takamura Island.
There’s only one requirement:
- Defeat the Takamura boss when he spawns.
- Spawn timer: every 20 minutes
Once you beat him, speak to the NPC on the same island to claim the Takamura weapon.
This update brings two new weapons worth grinding for. The quest line needed for Garp’s melee takes a bit more time because of multiple boss requirements, but the payoff matches the effort. The Takamura weapon is much faster to obtain once you reach the island. If you plan on farming both, bookmark boss spawn timers, rotate servers when needed, and consider grouping with other players for faster clears in Horizon Legacy.
