Fish It just dropped a big Classic Event update, and there’s a lot to explore if you want to stay ahead. From new fish types, a fresh battlepass, limited skins, and even a treasure hunt system, this update gives both new and returning players more content to grind. If you want to make the most of this event and not miss anything limited, this guide covers everything you need to know.

Classic Island Event Overview

The update focuses on a new area called Classic Island. This location introduces event-exclusive rewards, fishing spots, and special mechanics tied to retro-theme content. The Classic Event is temporary, so make sure to visit the island early and start collecting.

One of the first things you’ll notice is the new free-to-play battlepass tied to Classic Island. As you play and fish here, you’ll earn progress toward unique rewards that aren’t available anywhere else.

New Fish and Secrets

This update introduces:

• 42 new Classic Fish
• 2 new secret species: Retro Maja & Hacker Shark

These secrets are rare and harder to catch, so having good luck stats or boost items will help. Fishing in different zones on Classic Island will also increase your chances.

Special Disco Event

Every 2 hours, the Iron Café on Classic Island hosts a Disco Event. During this time, rare fish rates increase and special mechanics activate. To participate, players must first collect Classic Guppy Fish, which act as a key to enter this timed activity. If you’re farming secrets or rare skins, don’t skip the Disco Event.

New Limited Skins

You’ll also find new limited cosmetic items such as:

• 1x1x1x1’s Ban Hammer skin
• Hacker Skins (various types)

These can be previewed in the store or found while exploring the Classic Island. Since they’re limited-time items, they likely won’t return later.

Treasure Hunt Feature

The Treasure Hunt is a new activity added to this update. Shipwreck crates are scattered across the Classic Island areas. Opening them rewards free-to-play items and sometimes rare bonuses. Check every corner of the island while fishing—you might find them tucked away in hidden spaces.

Lantern Skins and Cosmetics

A new cosmetic feature has been added: Lantern Skins. You can equip or preview them from your settings menu. Alongside these, more bobber skins were released, giving players more customization options.
