Update 77 introduced a new feature many players have been curious about: double traits. On paper, this mechanic sounds like a massive power spike, but the chance to actually get a strong combination is extremely low.

If you’re wondering how double traits work, how rare they really are, and whether you should risk rerolling a good trait, this guide breaks everything down. Also check out our Anime Last Stand Codes for more rewards!

How Double Traits Work

Double traits allow a single unit to hold two traits at the same time instead of just one. This can create powerful bonuses, especially when both traits benefit the unit’s scaling, attack type, or element.

However, the feature is not meant to be easily abused. In test servers, double traits may appear more often for demonstration purposes, but in the main server the system is much harsher.

All Double Traits Anime Last Stand:

  • Glitched
  • Avatar
  • Overlord
  • Shinigami
  • Enterpreneur
  • All Seeing
  • Demi God
  • Cosmic
  • Diamond
  • Vulture
  • Elemental Master
  • Juggernaut
  • Hyper Speed
  • Golden
  • Sturdy
  • Scopped
  • Shining

Right now, double traits sit at 0.5% chance per roll. That means most of your rolls will only give a normal single trait. Even after dozens of rolls, you may get nothing special. For example:

  • Roll 50 times: You may get a few normal traits, nothing more.
  • Roll 100 times: You still aren’t guaranteed a double trait.
  • Roll 200+: You might finally land one, but the combination could be something weak like Scoped + Scoped.

So while double traits can be impressive, the rarity keeps the game balanced.

Possible Double Trait Outcomes

The system can give almost any trait combination, including:

  • Duplicate traits (ex: Overlord + Overlord or Scoped + Scoped)
  • Mixed effects (ex: Juggernaut + Hyper Speed)
  • Rare combos (ex: Shinigami + Avatar or Glitched + Celestial)

The best-case scenario is two high-tier traits landing together. An example shown in testing was Overlord + Overlord, which is considered a near-perfect pull.

When to Stop Rerolling

If you’re chasing a perfect setup, it’s easy to burn through rerolls without realizing how much value you’re losing. Because the rate is so low, getting a strong combination is already lucky. General rule:

  • If you land two high-tier traits, don’t reroll.
  • If you land one top-tier + one mid trait, think twice.
  • If you land two weak traits, reroll if you have spare resources.

Once you get what could be considered a “god roll,” stop. Because the chance of reproducing something equal or better is almost zero.

Should Free-to-Play Players Chase Double Traits?

If you’re free-to-play, treat double traits as a long-term goal. Getting them is possible, but don’t sacrifice your entire inventory of reroll resources chasing a tiny chance. Focus first on:

  • Strong units
  • Good solo traits
  • Evo items
  • Progression content

Once your roster is stable, then save for double traits.

Double traits in Anime Last Stand are strong, but far from guaranteed. With only a 0.5% drop rate, getting a great combination takes luck and a lot of reroll resources. The key is knowing when to stop, since rerolling past a strong trait combo can set your progress back. Treat double traits as a high-end upgrade rather than something required for normal gameplay. With patience and smart planning, you’ll eventually land a build worth keeping.
