Getting money fast in The Forge can feel tough when you’re just starting out. Luckily, there’s a simple AFK method players use to earn cash without needing to grind for hours. This guide breaks down how it works, where to go, and what you need so you can start farming money with almost no effort. Why This AFK Method Works
The Forge has a few locations where ores respawn extremely fast. When you combine that with the built-in AFK mining trick, you can earn money even while away from your keyboard. The key is choosing the right island and mining spot so you don’t waste time on slow respawns.
To start the method, make your way to Island 2. This is where the best farming spots are located. Once you’re there, head toward the volcano area. This location is currently the top place for earning money because of how quickly the ores come back.
Main AFK Spot: Ashen Passage Area
Near the volcano which is located near Ashen Passage, you’ll find the Basalt Vine ore. This is the spot most early testers use because it gives good resources and respawns fast. If your pickaxe is strong enough to mine it, this is your best option. Here’s how to activate the AFK mining trick:
- Stand in front of the ore
- Hold left click with your pickaxe
- While still holding, press ESC
- Release left click
- Press ESC again
Your character will now auto-mine on its own. The ores will keep respawning and you’ll keep farming them without manual input.
Backup AFK Spot for Weaker Tools
If you can’t mine Basalt Vine yet, there’s another ore nearby that you can farm. Many players use this area too because the respawn speed is almost as fast. The method is exactly the same:
- Use the left click + ESC trick
- Let the game auto-mine for you
- Collect steady ores to sell later
This gives newer players a solid way to farm money before unlocking stronger tools.
Things to Watch Out For
In the volcano area, a special rock sometimes spawns in front of your mining spot. If your pickaxe isn’t strong enough, you won’t be able to break it. Just keep an eye on it occasionally to make sure your AFK run isn’t blocked. Also, remember that your inventory can fill up. Make sure you empty it and sell your ores now and then so you don’t waste your farming time.
This AFK mining method is currently the fastest and easiest way to earn money in The Forge. Whether you’re strong enough for Basalt Vine or still on the lower-level ores, both spots let you farm cash without much effort.
