Getting strong fast in The Forge comes down to knowing where to mine. Some places give better rare ores, some let you hit multiple nodes at once, and some are only worth visiting if your gear is already solid. This guide breaks down all the top mining spots you should focus on right now.
If you’re trying to push pickaxe upgrades and rare plus ores, these locations will help you stack materials much quicker. Also check out our Roblox The Forge Beginner Guide for those interested and the Race Tier List.
Requirement Before Finding the Best Mining Spot
Every run will start from the main spawn. From here, your first destination is the cannon near the entrance. Use it to launch into the danger zone area. If you have the Dwarf class, this will help a lot because dwarf bonuses increase mining luck. At minimum, bring a Mythril Pickaxe, since some routes can get blocked by basalt veins. Without enough pickaxe strength, you won’t be able to break through.
4 Best Mining Spot
1. Danger Zone Basalt Clusters
The first major spot sits inside the danger zone. This area is packed with basalt cores and basalt veins, many of them grouped very close together. Some clusters let you mine two or even three nodes at once, which makes this place one of the best locations for rare plus ores.
Use Luck Totems, Mining Totems, and your Luck/Miner potions here. All of the boosts stack, and this area can give demon eyes and other rare drops if you’re lucky. If you’re farming late-game materials, this is your main zone.
2. Left-Side Basalt Fields
From the main entrance, head left. This whole section is lined with basalt nodes, including tight clusters where you can hit up to three rocks at once. There’s also a tunnel leading down to another compact mining area. This part of the map is great if:
- You want rare ores but not the heavy danger zone pressure
- You have a weaker pickaxe and still want decent gains
- You need plenty of nodes grouped together for fast runs
Feel free to set down totems here if your mining speed needs help. The area is safe and easy to loop through.
3. Compact Hell Layer Entrance Nodes
Another solid spot sits right next to the danger zone, near the entrance of the little hell layer. Two basalt veins spawn side-by-side here, letting you clear both quickly. It’s a popular AFK-friendly spot, so it might be contested. Still, if you catch it empty, the back-to-back respawns make it a fast and reliable farm.
4. Deep Hell Layer (High Risk, Not Recommended)
This lower section has a few basalt nodes, but they are far apart and surrounded by Reapers, some of the strongest mobs in the game. Even high-level players struggle here. Unless you absolutely need these specific nodes or are farming while over-geared, this area isn’t worth the trouble.
Which Spot Should You Use?
- For fast rare plus ores: Danger Zone clusters
- For weaker pickaxes: Left-side basalt fields
- For quick double-node hits: Hell layer entrance
- For risky farming: Deep hell layer (not ideal)
Mining plays a big role in progressing your tools and crafting rare weapons in The Forge. These spots will help you farm ores with less wasted time and give you a smoother climb toward better gear. Try each area and stick with the route that fits your pickaxe level and farming goals. More nodes, faster respawns, and safer paths mean better results in the long run. If the game receives updates that change mining layouts, new spots may appear, but for now these are the strongest options to focus on.
