Getting the highest luck possible in The Forge is important if you want better drops, smoother farming, and faster progress. Many players underestimate how much luck affects their results, especially when grinding rare items.

This guide breaks down every requirement, upgrade, and trick you need to reach the full +210% luck bonus. Everything here is based on in-game steps, not theories, so you can follow it directly and get the same results. What You Need to Know About Luck in The Forge

Luck comes from several sources: your pickaxe, runes (minor shards), achievements, race bonuses, potions, and optional totems. To hit the highest possible amount, you need to stack all of them together. The general idea is simple: get a pickaxe with the biggest luck boost, fill it with the right runes, and add every bonus on top of that.

1. Get the Right Pickaxe

The most important item in this entire setup is the Starite Pickaxe (often called Light Ore Pickaxe).
Why this one?

  • +50% luck, the highest luck bonus of any pickaxe
  • Has three rune slots, letting you stack more luck
  • Easy to obtain once you unlock the area
  • Costs 125,000, which is expensive but worth it

To find it:

  • Go to World 1
  • You’ll need a key, often auto-obtained through quests
  • Enter the locked door and buy the Arcane Pickaxe, which leads you to the Starite upgrade route

Avoid the Magma Pickaxe. It does more damage, but its overall stats for luck and farming are worse.

2. Add Minor Shards (Luck Runes)

Each minor shard can boost your luck by around 8–14%. Your goal is to get three high-roll shards.
Ideal roll: 15% or close
Minimum you should accept: 10%+

Where to farm shards:

  • Bombers in the enemies area (best drop rate, around 1/15 chance)
  • Sometimes drops from Delver Zombies, but slower

Slotting runes costs around 37,000 each, so prepare your gold.

With three 15% runes, you get +45% luck.

3. Activate Achievement Bonuses

Inside the Achievement menu, activate Master Miner.

Why?

  • Gives up to +40% luck once fully progressed
  • You reach it simply by AFK mining over time

Skip the low options like +8% and +16% if you can. The +40% bonus is what you really want for max luck builds.

4. Use Luck Potions

Luck potions are your main short-term booster.

  • Each potion gives +20% luck
  • Duration matches the paid totems
  • Easy to buy, no premium cost

Always have these active when farming rare ores or materials.

5. Optional: Luck Totems (Robux)

If you want to go further and don’t mind spending, the shop sells Luck Totems:

  • +25% luck
  • Lasts 5 minutes
  • Affects everyone nearby

Potions + Totem together = +45% luck.

If you aren’t planning to use Robux, skip this part—the max free-to-play setup still reaches high numbers.

6. Pick the Best Race for Luck

The Angel race gives a flat +30% luck at all times, making it the best for farming rare drops.
Extra bonuses:

  • High mobility, fast map movement
  • Works well for reaching ores quickly

The Demon race is better for damage, but for farming materials, Angel is the clear winner.

7. Helpful Gamepasses

These aren’t required, but they make farming easier:

  • Sell Anywhere – lets you keep farming without walking back
  • Forge Anywhere – useful, but optional

Both improve overall speed, which matters when grinding for minor shards and gold.

Total Luck Calculation

Here’s how the final +210% is reached:

  • Starite Pickaxe: +50%
  • Angel Race: +30%
  • Achievement Bonus: +40%
  • Luck Potion: +20%
  • Luck Totem: +25%
  • Three Minor Shards (15% each): +45%

Total: 210% Luck

This is currently the highest possible combination in the game.

Reaching +210% luck in The Forge takes time, gold, and smart farming, but the results are worth it. With this setup, drops become smoother, rare finds show up more often, and resource grinding becomes much easier. Focus on the Starite Pickaxe first, then work your way through achievements, shards, and race bonuses. Once everything stacks together, you’ll hit the full max luck build and see the difference right away.
