Getting the highest luck possible in The Forge is important if you want better drops, smoother farming, and faster progress. Many players underestimate how much luck affects their results, especially when grinding rare items.

What You Need to Know About Luck in The Forge

Luck comes from several sources: your pickaxe, runes (minor shards), achievements, race bonuses, potions, and optional totems. To hit the highest possible amount, you need to stack all of them together. The general idea is simple: get a pickaxe with the biggest luck boost, fill it with the right runes, and add every bonus on top of that.

1. Get the Right Pickaxe

The most important item in this entire setup is the Starite Pickaxe (often called Light Ore Pickaxe).
Why this one?

• +50% luck, the highest luck bonus of any pickaxe
• Has three rune slots, letting you stack more luck
• Easy to obtain once you unlock the area
• Costs 125,000, which is expensive but worth it

To find it:

• Go to World 1
• You’ll need a key, often auto-obtained through quests
• Enter the locked door and buy the Arcane Pickaxe, which leads you to the Starite upgrade route

Avoid the Magma Pickaxe. It does more damage, but its overall stats for luck and farming are worse.

2. Add Minor Shards (Luck Runes)

Each minor shard can boost your luck by around 8–14%. Your goal is to get three high-roll shards.
