Crafting strong gear in The Forge can feel slow at first, especially when you only rely on basic materials with almost no bonuses. This guide breaks down the fastest way to craft Legendary armors with stacked passives, how to boost your success rate, and the exact steps to make builds that melt enemies without effort.

Step 1: Get the Best Race for Crafting
Races matter in The Forge, and if your goal is Legendary crafts with high passive chances, you should switch to Dwarf.
Why Dwarf?
Because Dwarf gives +5% better forging quality, making it easier to reach high rarity and better stats. After redeeming the codes, go to Shop → Race Menu, pick Dwarf, and save it to one of your race slots. This is the only race that directly boosts crafting quality, so you should set this up before doing anything else.
Step 2: Learn Which Ores Give Which Passives
Every ore in The Forge has its own passive effect, and these effects only activate if the ore reaches at least 10% in your crafting mix.
Some ores work only for weapons, others for armor, so always read the material description before crafting. Examples of strong armor passives:
- Lightite – Swiftness
- Eye-Ore– Extra Damage
- Uranium – AoE damage when hit
- Mithril / Mythril – Base defense and durability boosts
You can mix multiple passives in a single armor as long as each chosen ore reaches 10%.
Step 3: How to Craft the Best Legendary Armor
Here’s the build used in the demonstration, which gives some of the strongest passive combos in the game.
Main Material (for appearance + defense)
Use Mythril as your main material.
Your main material should always have the highest percentage, since it decides the look of your armor.
Passive Ores (use at least 10% each)
- Lightite → Swiftness
- Eye Ore → Bonus damage
- Uranium → AoE damage when mobs hit you
- Any balance of Mythril for the remaining %
Once you set the main material above the others, spread the rest of the materials around the 10–12% mark. For example:
- Mythril: around 49%
- Lightite: 10%
- Eye Ore: 10%
- Uranium: 10%
- (the remaining can be adjusted freely)
As long as the passive ores hit 10%, the passive activates.
Step 4: Hit Perfect Crafting
After setting the material mix, go to the crafting station and aim for Perfect Craft.
With Dwarf race + a balanced ore mix, it’s possible to get results like:
- 100% Masterwork
- Legendary rarity
- Multiple passives activated at once
When done correctly, your base armor will already have:
- Vitality
- Radioactive
- Swiftness
- Lethality
- Reflect damage
- AoE damage
And more, depending on your mix.
This is only the base version.
You can still upgrade it further with runes.
Step 5: Example of How Strong the Build Is
With Uranium and Eye Ore in the mix, mobs take reflect damage every time they hit you. Combined with swiftness and extra damage effects, enemies can die without you swinging your weapon.
It’s one of the best all-around armor builds right now because:
- You deal damage automatically
- You move faster
- You hit harder
- You survive longer
If you want a different armor look, simply change the main material.
For example:
- More Eye Ore = Eye Ore-style armor
- More Mythril = Mythril-style armor
The passives stay the same as long as you keep the 10% threshold.
