The Forge How to Farm Mythic & Legendary Ores Fast Guide

Farming rare ores in The Forge can take forever if you mine normally. Mythic ores like Darkryte and Demonite have extremely low drop chances, so getting them without a plan usually feels impossible. This guide breaks down the fastest cheese method to farm Mythic and Legendary ores using controlled spawn resets, luck boosts, and a reliable farming rotation.

What You’re Farming: The Two Mythic Ores

Right now, the game has only two Mythic ores:

• Darkryte – 1 in 6,655 drop chance
• Demonite – 1 in 3,666 drop chance
• (Only drops from Volcano Rocks)

These ores are rare, but with the cheese method, you can force drops much faster by controlling loot appearance without breaking the nodes.

Step 1: Set Up Your Luck Build

To speed up Mythic drops, you need as much luck as possible.

• Use Arcane Pickaxe This pickaxe gives +50% luck, making it the best choice for this farm.
• Use the Dedicated Player Achievement Skill Go to Achievements → Dedicated Player. The longer you play, the higher your luck bonus. With around 100 hours, you can reach about 32–40% extra luck.
• Use a Race With Luck (Optional) If you have a race that gives bonus luck, use it. But if you don’t, use Dwarf for stable forging and general utility.
• Bring Miner Potions Miner Potions boost your farming speed and help finish the cycle faster. Buy a few and drink them before farming.

Step 2: Go to the Volcano Farming Spot

Head to the Volcano area. From the main entrance, follow the path until you reach a spot where multiple lava rocks spawn close together. This spot is important because the rocks can regenerate quickly, letting you cycle loot faster without traveling.

Step 3: The Cheese Method (The Drop-Control Technique)

This is the main method that makes Mythic farming fast.

How to Set Up the Nodes

1. Mine each Volcano Rock down to around 1.3k HP. At this point, the rock reveals its full loot table. Don’t break it completely.
2. Check the loot that appears. If it’s trash or not what you want, stop mining and walk away.
3. Wait for the node to regen. When it resets, the loot inside resets too.
4. Move between two or three nodes and repeat the cycle. Each regen gives a fresh chance at Legendary or Mythic ores.

This technique lets you “reroll” the drops without wasting respawn time or destroying rocks.

Step 4: Identifying Good Loot and Special Rocks

Sometimes, Volcano Rocks spawn with a shiny glowing effect.
These glowing nodes have a higher drop chance and usually drop better ores.

If you see one:

• Stick to that rock
• Apply the same 1.3k HP method
• Cycle it until you get a good drop

Step 5: Keep Rotating Until You Hit Mythics

By rotating between regening nodes, your loot will keep changing:

• One cycle might show Volcano Rock
• The next might show Topaz

• Demonic Backfire (damages enemies when certain conditions trigger)

Great for weapon builds that want extra offensive pressure.

Darkryte Passive

• A chance to trigger an invincibility frame when hit
