Making money in The Forge usually means mining for hours or grinding mobs nonstop. But there’s a way to earn cash while doing almost nothing. With the right setup, you can build a full uranium-based armor set that deals damage passively, letting you stand still and farm money and essences automatically.

How the Free Money Armor Works
Uranium armor gives a passive effect that deals a percentage of your max HP as AoE damage while you’re in combat. This means the more HP your armor gives, the stronger your passive damage becomes. Craft a heavy, high-HP uranium armor set so enemies die simply by touching you. To craft this setup, you’ll need a mix of ores:
- Uranium – main material needed for the passive effect
- Mithril – to boost multiplier
- Obsidian – boosts HP
- Eye Ore – good multiplier for extra stats
- Any material for filler if you run out
You’ll also need:
- Enough ores for multiple attempts
- Rune essences for upgrades
- Thorn/Vitality runes for extra HP and passive damage
Because forging has RNG, you won’t always get the exact armor type or the “dark” variation you want.
Crafting Process
1. Start Crafting in the Forge
Place the following inside the crafting slots:
- Uranium
- Eye Ore
- Mithril
- Obsidian
Use the same mixture for leggings, chestplate, and helmet.
2. Expect RNG
Each craft shows a percentage for:
- Helmet
- Chestplate
- Leggings
Sometimes the wrong piece appears, or you get a non-dark version. Dark versions are stronger, but even normal uranium pieces still work for AFK farming. If you mess up, you can rejoin the game before the forging animation completes to retry with the same materials.
3. Aim for These Stats
Good AFK armor usually has:
- High HP bonuses
- High AoE damage percentage
- Dark variation (if lucky)
- Decent defense (not required)
Upgrading With Runes
After crafting your gear, enchant each piece. Since early players usually have only 1 rune slot, focus on:
- Thorn (Briar Notch) – deals extra reflect damage
- Vitality – increases max HP
This combination boosts both your survivability and passive damage. If you get extra rune slots later, stack more HP and damage runes.
Setting Up the AFK Money Method
1. Equip Your Full Uranium Armor
More HP = more passive AoE damage.
2. Add Your Runes & Achievement Buff
Equip an achievement title that boosts HP for even more damage.
3. Find a Good AFK Spot
Choose an area where enemies:
- Spawn close
- Aggro toward you
- Can’t kill you before your passive hits them
Popular AFK spots include areas where two mobs spawn repeatedly without player interference.
4. Use an Auto Clicker (Optional)
- Prevent AFK timeout
- Kill enemies faster if they walk in front of you
You can swing your weapon while still “AFK” because you aren’t actively playing.
Free Money Armor is one of the easiest ways to earn gold and essences in The Forge without grinding for hours. As long as you have enough uranium and high-HP upgrades, you can stand still and let your passive damage clear enemies for you.
