Fireite is one of the rarest ores in The Forge, and getting it takes patience, the right tools, and a good understanding of how volcanic rocks spawn. If you’re trying to complete your ore index or want its strong forging multiplier, this guide walks you through the full process from requirements to farming tips. What You Need Before Farming Fireite
Fireite is a Legendary ore with a 1 in 2,000 drop chance, and it only comes from Volcanic Rocks. This means you must get your gear ready before heading into the area.
1. A Pickaxe That Can Break Volcanic Rocks
Volcanic Rocks are tougher than normal rocks, so you need a high-power pickaxe. The recommended tool is:
- Lightite Pickaxe – Mine Power: 100
This pickaxe reliably breaks volcanic rocks without slowing you down.
2. Know the Correct Location
Fireite only drops in the volcanic zone of the map. Once you enter the deeper sections of this area, you’ll see various rock types, but only Volcanic Rocks have a chance of dropping Fireite.
How to Find Volcanic Rocks
Volcanic Rocks don’t always spawn frequently, so part of the grind is making them appear.
Look Around the Volcanic Area
Walk through the entire zone and check every corner. Volcanic Rocks are spread out, and some sessions will have fewer spawns than others.
Break Other Rocks to Trigger Spawns
If you don’t see any Volcanic Rocks around you, there’s a simple trick:
- Break Basalt Cores, normal rocks, or nearby nodes
- Each time you break a rock, the game forces a new rock to spawn
- One of these respawns can become a Volcanic Rock
Keep doing this until you see one appear. Once it spawns, break it immediately with your Lightite Pickaxe.
Getting Fireite From the Rock
Once you find a Volcanic Rock, simply mine it. The Fireite drop chance is low, so you may need to repeat this process many times. Stay patient and keep cycling rocks to increase spawn chances.
Farming Fireite in The Forge takes time, but knowing the right area and using a strong enough pickaxe makes a big difference. Stick to mining Volcanic Rocks, keep breaking nearby cores when spawns are slow, and eventually Fireite will drop. This method is currently the most reliable way to get it, so keep at it and you’ll complete your index before long.
