Where Demonite Spawns
Demonite doesn’t drop everywhere. It only comes from one type of rock:
- Location: Volcanic Depths
- Source: Volcanic Rocks
- Requirement: A pickaxe with at least 100 base damage
If you don’t have a pickaxe strong enough, you won’t be able to mine volcanic rocks at all. You’ll need to upgrade your pickaxe before farming.
Pickaxe Requirements for Demonite
To mine volcanic rock, your pickaxe must meet the minimum base damage requirement. The following tools work:
- Arcane Pickaxe
- Lightite Pickaxe
- Any pickaxe with 100+ base damage
If your current tool deals less than 100 base damage, focus on upgrading it before going into Volcanic Depths.
How to Increase Demonite Drop Chances
Since Demonite has a rare drop rate, boosting your luck is the key to faster farming. Use every available bonus:

- Equip the Luck Boost in Achievements
- Drink Luck Potions while mining
- Use a stronger pickaxe with higher base damage
- Combine luck effects during 2x luck events or boosts

To get Demonite efficiently, follow this routine:
- Equip your highest damage pickaxe
