All 8 Ways to Increase Luck in The Forge Guide!
Luck plays a big part in The Forge. With high luck, you can pull rare ores more often, earn more money, and progress faster through high–tier upgrades. Many players don’t know that luck comes from several sources, and stacking them correctly gives a massive boost. This guide breaks down every method you can use to increase your luck and how they work together. Also check out our Roblox The Forge Beginner Guide for those interested and the Race Tier List.
1. Pickaxe Base Luck
Some pickaxes give direct luck bonuses. The one most players aim for is the Demonic Pickaxe, because it has the highest base luck among all tools. Using this pickaxe alone already lifts your mining drops, so make sure you upgrade toward it as soon as possible.
Best pickaxe for luck:
- Demonic Pickaxe (highest luck stat so far)
Tip: Ignore pickaxes without luck stats when farming rare ores.
2. Luck Shards and Runes
Luck can be boosted further using shards. When placed into rune slots, these shards act as passive bonuses during mining. A full loadout of luck shards can stack very high, especially when combined with a strong pickaxe.
Benefits of luck shards:
- Direct bonus to luck and drop rate
- Can be stacked in all rune slots
- Works permanently while mining
Try to only place shards that clearly boost luck. Mixing with random shards dilutes your build and slows progress.
3. Race Luck Bonus
Your character’s race also affects how much luck you get. The best option right now is Angel, offering a noticeable boost. Other races give smaller values, but Angel remains the best for mining builds.
Best races for luck:
- Angel (highest bonus)
- Elf (lower bonus, but useful while rerolling)
If you plan to focus on mining long–term, changing your race to Angel is worth the reroll cost.
4. Achievement Luck Perk
There are achievement perks that reward heavy playtime. One of the most important bonuses is granted after hitting specific hours in the game. Staying active and unlocking this perk gives a permanent luck increase.
Key perk to unlock:
- Achievement bonus after certain hours of playtime (large luck boost)
This reward stays active once unlocked, making it perfect for long–term farming.
5. Supporter/Gamepass Luck
Players who go for the Supporter gamepass get an extra bit of luck. While not required, the extra boost becomes noticeable when combined with race bonuses, shards, and pickaxe upgrades.
Optional bonus:
- Supporter gamepass luck boost
This is more of a late–game improvement once you already have a working mining build.
6. Luck Potions
Potions add temporary luck, perfect for long farming sessions or bossing in specific areas. They stack with every previous boost and can be used anytime.
Potion effect:
- Adds a short–term luck increase
- Can be refreshed during your run
- Works with shards, pickaxes, and races
Always keep a few potions before entering rare zones.
7. Luck Totems
Totems offer area–based buffs when placed in mining spots. A luck totem amplifies your current build, letting you pull more rare ores within its range.
Why use totems:
- Boosts luck in a specific area
- Stacks with all other methods
- Best used during ore farming
Placing a totem in high–value areas gives the strongest results.
8. Weekend Event Bonuses
Sometimes the game offers temporary bonus weekends. When this happens, all your existing luck becomes even stronger. If you combine events with potions, race, runes, and pickaxe boosts, you can reach extremely high luck values.
Tip: Always do rare ore farming during these events.
Luck isn’t about one single upgrade. The best players stack multiple sources at once. When you mix race bonuses, potions, shards, pickaxes, achievements, and events, your drop rate can jump to a level that makes rare ores feel common. Try building your luck slowly, starting with shards and a better pickaxe, and everything else will follow. Once your build is complete, mining in The Forge becomes one of the easiest ways to earn rare drops and progress much faster.
