All New Units Universal Tower Defense Guide!

Universal Tower Defense is a Roblox gacha tower defense game that mixes anime-style characters with strategy-based gameplay. Pulling strong units is important, but knowing what each unit actually does matters even more. Some units shine early, others scale hard into late game, and a few are built purely for support.

This guide covers all current units in Universal Tower Defense, their roles, abilities, and how they fit into your team. Also check out our Universal Tower Defense Codes & Tier List for more rewards!

Unit Rarity System Explained

Units in Universal Tower Defense are divided by rarity. Rarity affects how often a unit appears in the summon banner and usually reflects its overall power and utility.

  • Rare: Common pulls, beginner-friendly
  • Epic: Mid-tier units with useful passives
  • Legendary: Strong units with unique mechanics
  • Mythical: Game-changing units with high impact
  • Secret: Extremely rare, top-tier utility or damage

Understanding rarity helps you decide when to save gems and when to summon.

How to Get Units in Universal Tower Defense

To summon units, you need gems.

  1. Click the Areas button
  2. Teleport to the Summon area
  3. Choose between:  Single summon (50 gems), Ten summons (500 gems)

Banners rotate regularly, so saving gems for strong banners is important. Avoid spending gems on every banner unless you are early in the game.

  • Units that boost money or buffs help long-term progress

Balanced teams clear stages more consistently than full DPS setups.

Universal Tower Defense offers a wide variety of units, each designed for specific roles. While Mythical and Secret units dominate the late game, smart use of Rare, Epic, and Legendary units can still take you far. Understanding abilities, synergy, and team balance will always matter more than rarity alone. As new units are added, this system will continue to evolve, so planning ahead is the key to staying strong.
