How to Farm Ornaments in Dandy’s World
Ornaments act as the main event currency during the Christmas Event. You will need a large amount of them to unlock characters, skins, and other bonuses. The event runs until January 16, giving you enough time as long as you stay consistent. Here are the most reliable ways to collect Ornaments:
- Completing Machines Each time you finish a Machine, you earn five Ornaments. You do not need to handle the entire Machine yourself. As long as you complete the final interaction, the reward is yours. Because of this, Machines are often rushed by players, so finding one early is important.
- Meeting Twisteds On every floor, encountering a Twisted for the first time gives you one Ornament. At least two different Twisteds spawn per floor, making this a steady source over long runs.
- Picking Up Floor Ornaments Every floor spawns at least one Ornament item that gives five Ornaments when collected. These items are shared, meaning they stay available even if another player picks them up. Always scan the floor carefully before moving on.
- Advent Calendar Rewards Logging in daily before December 25 grants 50 Ornaments per day, with a big bonus of 300 Ornaments on Christmas Day. These rewards add up quickly and should never be skipped.
For best results, prioritize Machines as soon as the elevator opens, then search the floor for Ornament items. Only trigger Twisteds when you are close to finishing the level to avoid unnecessary risks.
Best Toons and Trinkets for Faster Farming
Certain Toons make Ornament farming much easier. Pebble is especially useful because it highlights nearby items, including event Ornaments. The event-exclusive Toon Coal offers similar utility by revealing item locations for the whole team. Trinkets like the Wrench and Vee’s Remote help speed up Machine completion. Faster Machines mean more time to locate additional rewards before leaving the floor.
How to Unlock Event Toons
There are four limited-time Toons available only during the Christmas Event. You can unlock them through Bobette’s Shop by spending Ornaments and meeting specific requirements. These characters should be your main priority, as they introduce powerful new abilities.
Rudie
- Cost: 300 Ornaments
- Ability: Antler Charge
Rudie can dash forward quickly, making him excellent for escaping Twisteds or breaking line of sight.
Ginger
- Cost: 700 Ornaments
- Requirement: 50% research on Twisted Ginger
Ginger can fully heal another Toon by spending tapes. The ability becomes more expensive and slower if multiple Gingers are on the same team.
Coal
- Cost: 1,500 Ornaments
- Requirement: Own at least 15 Trinkets
Coal’s Scout ability reveals all items on the floor for every teammate, making him one of the best Toons for Ornament hunting.
Bobette
- Cost: 3,000 Ornaments and 2,500 Ichor
- Requirement: 100% research on Twisted Bobette
Bobette boosts stamina regeneration and movement speed for nearby allies. Her active ability allows her to hide in a gift box, granting temporary invincibility.
Holiday-themed skins are also available for 600 Ornaments each, but it is smarter to unlock all Toons first before spending on cosmetics.
Event Twisteds and Research Rewards
Each event Toon has a matching Twisted version that appears only during the Christmas Event. Fully researching them unlocks unique trinkets.
- Twisted Rudie: Drops Festive Lights, which highlight nearby Ornaments. Easy to spot due to his bright glow.
- Twisted Ginger: Drops Peppermint Icing, restoring stamina after using abilities. She moves slower but stays aggressive longer.
- Twisted Coal: Drops Coal, reducing stealth and speed slightly. He moves fast and detects players easily.
- Twisted Bobette: Drops Toy Kit, increasing aura range. She can hear nearby item pickups, making her dangerous around Ornaments.
One event Twisted is guaranteed every five floors during holiday-themed stages. Each encounter grants research progress, with extra bonuses from research capsules. Using Roger during the event greatly speeds up research thanks to his bonus effect.
How to Unlock Golden Skins
Each event Toon has a three-part holiday quest that rewards a special golden-themed skin. These quests must be completed while playing as the specific Toon.
Examples include encountering their Twisted versions, finishing holiday floors, and using abilities during specific situations. Quests for Coal and Bobette unlock on December 19 as part of the second event phase.
The Christmas Event in Dandy’s World rewards preparation and smart prioritization. Focus on unlocking event Toons first, farm Ornaments efficiently using the right characters, and work on Twisted research whenever possible. With steady play, you can unlock everything before the event ends and walk away with some of the best limited-time content the game has to offer.
