For beginners, the easiest artifacts to farm usually come from simple tasks like eating, drinking, traveling, nesting, and surviving. This makes Air, Storm, Plant, Water, Fire, and Volcanic artifacts the most beginner-friendly options.

You can check all owned artifacts by opening the main menu and heading to Misc. Items, where each artifact’s discount effect is listed.

What Artifacts Are Used For

Artifacts are mainly used to reduce creature prices in the shop. To see this, open the shop, select All Creatures, then go to the Artifact tab. Each creature here has a mushroom cost that can be reduced using specific artifacts. Each artifact can stack up to 20 times, increasing the discount further. Every creature usually has two artifact types tied to it:

  • One provides a small discount
  • The other offers a much larger reduction

Artifacts in Creatures of Sonaria may feel overwhelming at first, but they are actually one of the most rewarding systems in the game. By simply playing normally and completing everyday actions, you can slowly build artifact stacks that drastically lower creature costs. Over time, this saves a huge amount of mushrooms and makes unlocking rare creatures much easier. If you plan ahead and focus on the right artifact types, progression becomes smoother and far more efficient.
