Playing The Forge feels much better when you are not exploring, mining, or fighting bosses alone. Many players get confused because this game does not have a direct invite or squad button inside the gameplay menu. Everything works through Roblox’s own systems instead. That is why knowing the correct methods will save you time and prevent you from ending up in different servers.

In this guide, you will find all the real and working ways to add friends and play together in The Forge, starting from free options and ending with private servers. Also check out our Roblox The Forge Beginner Guide for those interested and the Race Tier List.

Does The Forge Have an In-Game Party System?

Before jumping into the steps, it is important to understand one thing. The Forge does not include a built-in party or squad feature. There is no shared XP, no auto loot split, and no team menu. Playing together only means being in the same server so you can help each other survive, clear enemies, and fight bosses safely.

Method 1: Join Through Roblox Friends List (Free & Easy)

This is the most common and completely free way to play with friends.

First, make sure you and your friend are already added on Roblox. This is required. One player should open The Forge first and fully load into a public server.

Next, the other player goes to The Forge game page on Roblox. If your friend is already inside the game, you may see a green Join button under the main Play button. Clicking it will place you in the same server.

If the green button does not appear, open the Servers tab on The Forge game page. Scroll through the active servers, find your friend’s username in the player list, and click Join from there.

Method 2: Use Roblox Party Feature

This method helps reduce the chance of being split into different servers.

Open Roblox on the app or website, then go to the party menu found inside the chat or friends panel. Create a party and invite your friends. Everyone must accept the invitation so all players are inside the same party lobby.

Once ready, the party leader opens The Forge game page and clicks Play. Roblox will automatically try to place the entire party into one server together.

Method 3: Create a Private Server (Best for Groups)

If you want zero random players around, a private server is the best option. This method is paid and usually costs around 100 Robux per month, though prices may change.

To create one, open The Forge game page and go to the Servers tab. Click Create Private Server. After it is created, click Configure or the three dots next to the server name.

You can add friends manually by username under server members or enable friends access so anyone on your friends list can join. You can also share the private server link or ask friends to find it under the Private Servers tab.

Important Tips When Playing Together

When you join the same server, players usually spawn near each other in the main town at Stonewake’s Cross. This makes grouping up fast.

Since there is no real co-op system, communication is very important. Use Roblox text chat, voice chat, or external apps like Discord to coordinate movement, fights, and mining routes.

Playing The Forge with friends is simple once you understand how Roblox handles servers. Even without an in-game squad system, these methods allow you to explore dangerous areas, defeat tough enemies, and progress more safely as a group. Whether you use the free friends list method or invest in a private server, choosing the right setup will make your Forge experience smoother and more enjoyable.
