Ultimate Outcome Memories Survivor Beginner Guide!

Outcome Memories is not an easy game to pick up. Many new players feel lost, whether they are struggling to survive as a Survivor or failing to secure eliminations as the EXE. The mechanics are deep, characters play very differently, and small mistakes can cost the entire match. With version 0.2 approaching, this guide is designed to help beginners understand the core characters, how they work, and how to play them properly before the update arrives.

Outcome Memories revolves around Survivors working together to outplay a single EXE. Survivors rely on teamwork, stuns, healing, and positioning, while the EXE focuses on pressure, mind games, and ability timing. If either side plays without a plan, the match usually ends quickly. Before learning advanced tricks, understanding each character’s role is the most important step.

Sonic Guide – The Aggressive Stunner

Sonic is one of the most popular Survivors because he feels powerful and fast. His kit revolves around stunning the EXE and saving teammates during chases.

Drop Dash Explained

Drop Dash makes Sonic invincible for a short time. If he hits the EXE during this window, the EXE gets stunned and Sonic heals. Landing three hits in a row causes a stronger stun that pushes the EXE back. This ability must be timed carefully, since invisibility or jumps from the EXE can completely counter it.

The best way to use Drop Dash is from the side or behind, especially when the EXE is focused on another Survivor.

Peel Out Usage

Peel Out charges for a few seconds before launching Sonic forward at extreme speed. This ability allows Sonic to grab teammates and pull them out of danger. Carrying a teammate until the ability ends reduces its cooldown significantly, making it much more useful when coordinated.

Sonic’s true strength comes from chaining stuns and controlling the EXE’s movement, especially on maps with stairs or elevation.

2011X Guide

2011X is the first and only EXE currently available. He plays as a rushdown character that relies on tricks rather than raw damage.

Invisibility

This ability makes 2011X untouchable for a short time and increases speed. While invisible, he can teleport to nearby Survivors. The downside is end lag when exiting invisibility, which leaves him vulnerable to stuns.

God’s Trickery

This ability teleports 2011X to a random Survivor while creating hallucinations for others. Only the real target hears the chase sound, making awareness very important for Survivors.

Grab

Grab initiates a minigame that drains Survivor health over time. Survivors must mash movement inputs to escape faster. If a Survivor drops to 25 HP during the grab, they are instantly eliminated.

Outrage Mode

Outrage activates after being stunned multiple times. During this state, 2011X gains higher damage, faster speed, reduced stun duration, and stronger grabs. Proper use of Outrage is required to keep pressure against strong teams.

Despite these tools, 2011X struggles against coordinated Survivors with healing and stuns.

Eggman Guide – The Ultimate Survivalist

Eggman excels at staying alive. He is not designed to fight the EXE directly, but to waste time and protect teammates.

Key Strengths

  • Double jump every few seconds
  • Force Field that stuns the EXE if hit
  • Jetpack speed boost for escapes

Eggman becomes extremely annoying on maps with high ground, where his movement options shine.

Last Man Standing Bonus

During Last Man Standing, Eggman’s Force Field stun duration increases dramatically. This makes him very hard to finish off if played patiently.

Metal Sonic Guide – The Tank Survivor

Metal Sonic starts with 175 HP and takes reduced damage while above 100 HP. However, he cannot be revived once eliminated.

Abilities Overview

  • Self-Repair: Heals over time but leaves him vulnerable if interrupted
  • Destructive Charge: High-speed dash that stuns the EXE but damages Metal Sonic

During Last Man Standing, Metal Sonic becomes extremely durable with massive damage reduction, making him one of the hardest Survivors to eliminate.

Tails Guide – Long-Range Support

Tails is a backline stunner who controls the map from a distance.

Arm Cannon

After charging, Tails fires a laser that stuns the EXE for a long duration. The cooldown is high, but the impact can completely change a match.

Glide

Allows Tails to escape vertically and reposition safely.

In Last Man Standing, Tails’ cooldowns are heavily reduced, turning him into a constant threat.

Cream Guide – Pure Support Healer

Cream is the only full healer in the game, making her a priority target for the EXE.

Healing Ability

Cream heals nearby teammates for a large amount over time. If her companion Cheese is defeated, her healing is reduced.

Dash

A short movement ability used to escape or reposition.

During Last Man Standing, Cream gains self-healing, allowing her to survive far longer than expected if hidden properly.

Amy Guide – Most Overpowered Survivor

Amy combines close-range and long-range stuns with powerful passive buffs.

Tarot Cards

Random buffs every cycle, with Emperor, Sun, and Fool being the strongest. These provide speed, damage reduction, and healing.

Hammer Attack & Throw

Hammer Attack stuns up close, while Hammer Throw allows long-range disruption without losing the weapon.

During Last Man Standing, Amy’s healing becomes extremely strong, making her one of the hardest Survivors to eliminate.

Knuckles Guide – Close-Range Control

Knuckles excels at punishing EXE mistakes.

Punch & Counter

Charging punch increases stun duration. Counter reflects attacks and stuns the EXE if timed correctly.

Mobility

Wall climbing and glide allow creative jukes and ambushes.

Knuckles works best protecting supports and chaining stuns with teammates.

Outcome Memories rewards teamwork, patience, and character knowledge more than raw skill. Before version 0.2 arrives, learning how each character functions and understanding their role in a team will give you a huge advantage. Whether you prefer stunning as Sonic, surviving as Eggman, supporting as Tails or Cream, or hunting as 2011X, mastering the basics now will make future updates much easier to adapt to.
