The Cringle’s Workshop update brings a fresh Christmas event to DOORS, offering a new vision with a different setting, enemies, and gameplay flow. This limited-time event mixes the tense Library-style gameplay with festive visuals and new mechanics, making it a must-play before it ends. Below is a full guide to help you understand how the event works, what to expect inside, and how to survive it efficiently.
Overview of Cringle’s Workshop Event
Cringle’s Workshop is the first official “Vision” in DOORS, taking place in an alternate reality where The Hotel is replaced by The Lodge. Inside The Lodge, players must explore a Christmas-themed version of The Library and collect Cringle’s Presents.
The event runs from December 19, 2025, until December 31, 2025. Depending on how many players are in the lobby, you will need to collect between 12 and 32 presents to clear the run.
How to Enter Cringle’s Workshop
There are two ways to access the event:
- Enter through a giant blue and white present in the lobby.
- Create a special elevator from the lobby menu.
Once players enter, a short countdown starts before everyone is teleported outside The Lodge. After opening Door 1, a cutscene plays where Krampus crashes into the workshop and scatters all the presents, starting the main objective.
Area Layout Explained
First Floor
The first floor is large and looks similar to The Library but decorated with lights, candy canes, snow, and Christmas trees. Four staircases lead upward, but only two are usable. The exit door stays locked with candy canes until all presents are returned.
Second Floor
The second floor has an A-shaped layout with more shelves, books, and presents. A large Christmas tree sits in the center. One of the connecting paths will always be blocked, forcing players to move carefully.
Main Entities You Will Encounter
- Cringle: A friendly elf who sits near the exit. He talks using slang and reacts when you complete objectives.
- Krampus Figure: The main threat. It cannot see but hears movement. Walking, opening drawers, or alarms can get you killed fast.
- Breeze Ambush: Rushes through preset paths and damages players who are not hiding.
- Subzero Screech: Works like normal Screech but deals more damage and has a winter look.
- Snow Seek: Passive entity that only appears as eyes on the wall.
Classic entities like Glitch, Hide, Jack, Timothy, and Dread can also appear during the run.
Cringle’s Presents and How They Work
Cringle’s Presents are essential items needed to finish the event:
- Each player can carry only one present at a time
- Presents emit a glitchy sound to help locate them
- A glowing arrow shows where to place the present
- You cannot hide or use items while holding one
Once all required presents are placed in the center, Cringle opens the exit and a purple portal appears to complete the Vision.
Cringle’s Workshop is one of the most unique DOORS events so far, blending classic stealth gameplay with holiday-themed pressure. The presence of Krampus alone forces players to move slower and smarter, especially in solo runs. If you want a fresh DOORS experience with new enemies and mechanics, this event is worth completing before it disappears at the end of December.
