Child of Sun Weapon Overview (Mythic Rarity)
Child of Sun is a mythic-tier weapon themed after Escanor, and the biggest highlight is how accessible it is. Unlike some endgame weapons that require long quest chains, this one can be obtained directly through spins.
That makes it realistic for most players, especially those who have been saving spins or actively farming resources. With the right trait, especially Power III, this weapon reaches its full potential and becomes a top-tier option for both farming and boss fights.
Child of Sun Basic Attacks (M1 Damage)
The basic attack combo already sets this weapon apart.
- Three-hit combo
- First hit: 100 damage
- Second hit: 100 damage
- Third hit: 115 damage
This is currently among the highest M1 damage values in the game. On top of raw damage, the attack speed feels smooth, and the range is wide enough to hit multiple enemies at once. This makes wave clearing much safer and faster, even if you rely mostly on basic attacks.
Child of Sun Skills Breakdown
This weapon truly shines once you start using its abilities. Every skill is built around high area damage and strong pressure.
Cruel Sun
Cruel Sun summons a burning orb and throws it forward, dealing over 700 damage in a large area. It is excellent for clearing waves and dealing solid damage to bosses. The main drawback is the cooldown, which sits around 40 seconds. While powerful, the cooldown feels slightly long for its damage level, but it remains a reliable nuke when available.
Solar Slashes
Solar Slashes is a forward-moving attack that hits three times, dealing a total of around 700 damage. The wide slash makes it perfect for cutting through enemy lines quickly. With a cooldown of roughly 30 seconds, it feels much smoother to use compared to Cruel Sun and fits well into fast-paced dungeon runs.
Solar Explosion
This skill throws a fireball forward, hitting a wide area for around 500 damage. While the damage is lower than the other skills, the cooldown is much shorter at about 20 seconds. This makes it ideal for consistent wave clearing and maintaining pressure on bosses between major cooldowns.
Ultimate Skill
The Child of Sun ultimate deals roughly 1,500 total damage to all nearby enemies. It has a wide radius and is extremely effective when surrounded or during critical boss phases. Used at the right moment, this ultimate can completely turn a fight in your favor.
Is Child of Sun Worth Using?
Overall, Child of Sun is an excellent weapon that performs well in nearly every situation. It offers strong M1 damage, smooth attack speed, good range, and powerful area-based skills. It feels similar to top-tier weapons like King of Curses, making it a strong choice for farming, wave content, and boss battles alike.
The Child of Sun update is a big win for Anime Final Quest players. With a powerful mythic weapon that is not locked behind quests, meaningful quality-of-life updates, and new redeemable codes, this patch significantly improves the overall experience. If you are looking to push harder content, farm faster, or dominate boss fights, Child of Sun is absolutely worth chasing. Keep an eye out for future updates, as this weapon may set the standard for what comes next.
