First, travel to Sunstone Island and head up to Merlin.
Required Items
You must have these three items in your inventory:
- Serene Radiant Crystal
- Breeze Radiant Crystal
- Celestial Radiant Crystal
You can fish for these yourself or trade for them.
How to Fish Radiant Crystals
- Talk to Merlin
- Choose “I need to enter the chasm”
- Select “I’m ready” to receive Merlin’s Veil I
- Swim behind Merlin and enter the purple chasm
- Fish inside the underground pool to obtain Radiant Crystals
Once you have all three crystals, talk to Merlin again to craft the Dusky Thread.
Step 2: Astronomical Fretboard at Cursed Isle
This step is time-restricted and season-dependent.

- Season must be Spring or Autumn
- Time must be Night
- Weather must be Foggy
- Location: Cursed Isle

- Driftwood: Trash item, can be fished almost anywhere
- Molten Ripple: Secret fish from Roslit Bay Volcano

Step 3: Twilight Pegs at Northern Expedition Peak
Before climbing the peak, you must prepare several items.

- Heavenly Flying Fish
- Blessed Moonwood
- Windset Totem
- Sundial
Important Notes
- Heavenly mutation can only be obtained using the Heavens Rod
- Blessed Moonwood requires the Seraphic Rod, or trading
- You cannot appraise for these mutations
How to Spawn the Spirit of Light
- Climb to the top of Northern Expedition
- Use Sundial to set nighttime
- Use Windset Totem for windy weather
- Hold the Heavenly Flying Fish
The Spirit of Light appears. Give him the Blessed Moonwood to receive Twilight Pegs.
Step 4: Unlocking the Astraeus Quest in The Depths
Now that you have:
- Dusky Thread
- Astronomical Fretboard
- Twilight Pegs
Travel to The Depths.
Important Requirement
You must have a Chaotic Enchant Relic to access the Music Venue.
How to Reach the Music Venue
- Navigate through The Depths maze
- Cross Crystal Cove carefully (touching water causes instant death)
- Insert the enchant relic if the entrance is locked
- Enter the Music Venue
Activate a Starfall Totem, then interact with:
- Microphone
- Drums
- Guitar
This teleports you to the Astraeus Void, where you accept the quest.
Step 5: Astraeus Serenade Quest Requirements
You must complete all objectives and pay 50 million currency.
