If you want to maximize your progress, understanding how weather works is something you cannot ignore. This guide breaks down every weather event in Catch and Tame, explains what each one does, which animals appear, and how you can manually trigger specific weather using totems.

What About Sunny Weather?

Sunny weather is the default condition in Catch and Tame. It appears most often but provides no bonuses, special animals, or mutations. Because it has no gameplay benefits, it is usually ignored by experienced players.

List of All Weather Events in Catch and Tame

Each weather event comes with its own bonuses and rare spawns. Some happen naturally, while others are much harder to encounter without using items.

Rainy weather is one of the most useful events for farming animals efficiently.

  • Higher chance for large-sized animals and mutations
  • Animals are easier to tame
  • Turtles can appear on the map

Spawn Method: Appears randomly during gameplay.

Thunderstorm

Thunderstorms are mainly used for mutation hunting.

  • Animals can gain the Shocked mutation
  • Lightning Dragons may spawn

This weather focuses on desert-based creatures and rare mythicals.

Aurora Borealis

Snowy Weather

Snowy weather is especially useful during seasonal events.

  • Christmas-themed animals spawn
  • Applies the Frozen mutation
  • 1.5x Candy bonus

Spawn Method: Spawns randomly.

How Long Do Weather Events Last?

Each weather event lasts for approximately 10 minutes. There is no fixed order or cycle, meaning any weather type can appear at any time. This randomness makes rare weather events even more valuable.

How to Trigger Weather Events Using Totems

While most weather types rely on RNG, some can be activated manually using Weather Totems. You can obtain Weather Totems in two ways:

  1. Daily Rewards Log in every day, Weather Totems are rewarded on Day 5 and Day 7
  2. Exclusive Shop (Robux) 1 roll costs 39 Robux 5 rolls cost 159 Robux

Weather Totem Drop Rates

Here are the chances when rolling Weather Totems from the Exclusive Shop:

  • Rain Totem: 50% chance
  • Thunderstorm Totem: 35% chance
  • Sandstorm Totem: 10% chance
  • Aurora Borealis Totem: 3% chance
  • Cosmic Totem: 2% chance

Because of the low odds, Cosmic and Aurora Totems are extremely valuable and should be used wisely.

Weather events play a major role in Catch and Tame, especially if you are aiming for rare mutations, mythical animals, or faster progress. Knowing which weather boosts luck, which spawns exclusive creatures, and how to activate them manually gives you a clear advantage over other players. If you want better results in less time, paying attention to the weather is no longer optional.
