Diamond Rod Fish It Guide, All Quest & Tips to Finish Them!

The latest Fish It Roblox update finally introduces the Diamond Rod, a powerful new fishing rod that clearly outperforms the Element Rod. Thanks to its stable stats and strong performance, this rod is ideal for hunting rare fish and even secret fish. Also check out our Fish It Codes for more rewards!

However, Diamond Rod is not something you can get instantly. You must complete a series of challenging quests that test your progress, patience, and preparation. This guide explains every Diamond Rod mission in detail, including locations, requirements, and tips to finish them faster.

How to Start the Diamond Rod Quest in Fish It Roblox

To begin the Diamond Rod quest, head to Fisherman Island. Look for the entrance to the Mutation Cellar, which is marked with a diamond icon. Once inside:

  • Teleport into the Mutation Cellar
  • Talk to Diamond Researcher (Larry)
  • Accept the Diamond Research Quest

After accepting it, all Diamond Rod missions will immediately appear in your quest list.

All Complete List of Diamond Rod Missions

1. Own an Element Rod

The first requirement is simple but mandatory. You must already have the Element Rod. If you do not own it yet, you cannot progress further in the Diamond Rod quest. Make sure this step is completed before focusing on other missions.

2. Catch a Secret Fish in Coral Reef

You are required to catch a new secret fish in the Coral Reef area.

Important notes:

  • Previously obtained secrets do not count
  • You must catch the secret again from scratch

Recommended target:

  • Eerie Shark (approximately 1 : 250,000 chance)

This step may take time, so patience and luck boosts are highly recommended.

3. Catch a Secret Fish in Tropical Groove

Tropical Groove only has one secret fish available:

  • Great Whale (around 1 : 950,000 chance)

Even though the odds look low, many players find this secret easier to obtain compared to other zones due to the single secret pool.

4. Bring a Mutated Gemstone

The next mission requires a Mutated Gemstone, not a normal one. Key details:

  • Gemstones are obtained from the Ocean
  • The gemstone must have the Mutated status
  • Using a Mutation Potion is strongly recommended

Once you obtain a mutated gemstone, return to Larry and exchange it to complete this mission.

5. Submit a Secret Lohness Monster

Lohness Monster is a secret fish found in the Kohana area with very high rarity (around 1 : 3,000,000). Good news:

  • You do not need to catch a new one
  • If Lohness Monster is already in your inventory, it counts

Simply equip it and exchange it with Larry to complete this step.

6. Catch 1000 Fish with Perfect Throw

This is the most time-consuming mission in the entire questline.

Requirements:

  • Catch 1000 fish
  • Every cast must be a Perfect Throw
  • Non-perfect throws do not count

Fastest Way to Complete This Mission

Use the Perfection enchant.

With Perfection:

  • Every throw automatically counts as perfect
  • No manual timing needed

Without this enchant, you must manually time every single cast, making the mission extremely slow and frustrating. Perfection enchant is highly recommended.

Tips to Farm Secret Fish Faster

To speed up Diamond Rod progression, keep these tips in mind:

  • Focus on Tropical Groove first since it only has one secret
  • Take advantage of luck boost events
  • Always use potions before fishing
  • Stick to fishing spots that frequently drop secrets
  • Combine Perfection with Secret Hunter enchant if possible

Diamond Rod is not a rod you obtain quickly, but the reward is well worth the effort. By completing all required missions, especially the secret fish hunts and perfect throw challenge, you unlock one of the best fishing rods currently available in Fish It Roblox.

If you are aiming for Diamond Rod, take the quests step by step and make full use of enchants, potions, and events to make the process smoother. With the right preparation, this grind becomes much more manageable and rewarding.
