Coinite is one of the most misunderstood ores in The Forge. Many players ignore it because it does not boost damage, defense, or any visible stats. At first glance, its multiplier looks weak, and it does not provide any traits at all. Because of that, Coinite is often labeled as useless. In reality, Coinite has a very specific purpose.

If your main goal is making gold through forging, Coinite is one of the strongest ores you can use. This guide explains what Coinite really does, how it works behind the scenes, and how to use it properly for maximum profit. What Is Coinite in The Forge?

Coinite is a special ore that does not increase combat stats on weapons or armor. It does not boost damage, defense, HP, or any other performance-related values.

On the forge screen, Coinite only shows a x1 stat multiplier, which is why many players assume it has no value. However, Coinite affects something far more important for farming gold: the selling price. Items forged with Coinite sell for much more gold compared to normal items with the same stats.

Coinite, What It Is Use For?

Coinite has two hidden properties:

  • Stat multiplier: x1
  • Sell price multiplier: x16

This sell price multiplier is not shown directly in the forge menu. You only notice the effect when selling the item to an NPC.

Example:

  • A sword without Coinite may sell for around 3,600 gold
  • The same sword forged with Coinite can sell for many times more

This is why Coinite is used for money farming, not combat builds.

Coinite vs Normal Ores

Most regular ores increase both stats and selling price.

Examples of normal ores:

  • Gargantuan
  • Velchire
  • Iceite

These ores:

  • Multiply stats and price
  • Are ideal for damage or defense builds

Coinite:

  • Only multiplies selling price
  • Does not increase stats at all

For comparison:

  • Gargantuan: x25 multiplier (stats + price)
  • Coinite: x16 multiplier (price only)

Coinite is weaker for combat, but extremely strong for profit-focused forging.

Island 3 Bonus and Why It Matters

All ores obtained from Island 3 receive a bonus:

  • Sell price multiplier increased by x1.25

This bonus also applies to Coinite.

That means:

  • Normal Coinite: x16 price
  • Island 3 Coinite: x20 real price multiplier

This is why Coinite becomes much more effective when used on Island 3.

How Coinite Price Multiplier Is Calculated

The Forge calculates selling price using the average multiplier of all ores used.

Simple Example: Light Helmet

Materials used:

  • 1 Coinite (x20 price from Island 3)
  • 1 Coinite (x20)
  • 1 Velchire Ore (x6.875 price after Island 3 bonus)

Total price multiplier:

  • 20 + 20 + 6.875 = 46.875

Number of ores:

  • 3

Average multiplier:

  • 46.875 ÷ 3 = 15.625

Base price of Light Helmet:

  • 65 gold

Final sell price:

  • 65 × 15.625 ≈ 1,015 gold

The stats stay weak, but the selling price increases massively.

Heavy Armor Example With Coinite

Materials used:

  • 8 Coinite → 8 × 20 = 160
  • 17 Iceite → 17 × 13.125 = 223.125

Total multiplier:

  • 383.125

Total ores:

  • 25

Average multiplier:

  • 383.125 ÷ 25 = 15.325

Base price of Heavy Helmet:

  • Around 1,020 gold

Final price:

  • 1,020 × 15.325 ≈ 15,000 gold

If the forged item becomes a Raven variant, there is an extra bonus.

Armor Variants and Their Price Bonuses

Armor variants also affect selling price:

  • Knight: standard price
  • Dark Knight: x1.2 price
  • Raven: x1.35 price (highest bonus)

Since Coinite focuses only on selling value, Raven variants are the best possible outcome for profit farming.

Coinite is not a weak ore. It is a money-focused ore. While it offers zero stat improvement, it dramatically increases the selling price of forged items. With the Island 3 bonus, Coinite reaches a real x20 price multiplier, making it one of the most reliable tools for gold farming in The Forge.

If you understand how price multipliers work, combine Coinite with the right ores, and aim for high-value armor variants like Raven, Coinite can become your most stable and efficient source of gold in the game.
