In The Forge, there is one hidden ore that most players never notice, and almost nobody uses for progression. This ore is commonly known as the Secret Grass Ore. Even though it is statistically the worst ore in the game, the way to obtain it is very unusual and cannot be done through normal mining.

What Is Secret Grass Ore in The Forge?

Grass Ore is a hidden ore that cannot be obtained from rocks, crystals, or any mining spots in the game. The only way to get it is by completing a secret quest.

In terms of multiplier, Grass Ore has a value of 0.1, which makes it worse than even Stone, since Stone still has a 0.02 multiplier. Because of this, Grass Ore is widely considered the weakest ore in The Forge.

Despite that, it remains interesting because of its rarity and limited availability.

How to Start the Grass Ore Quest

To obtain Grass Ore, you must find and talk to a hidden NPC. Step-by-step location guide:

• Go to Spider Cave
• Before entering, turn left
• Climb up the rocks until you find Goblin Cave
• Enter Goblin Cave
• Ignore the NPC standing at the front
• Jump toward the bushes at the back of the cave
• Walk through a hidden wall
• You will find a secret NPC

Talk to this NPC and accept the quest they offer.

Quest Objective: Finding the Lost Cat

After accepting the quest, the NPC will ask you to find a missing cat. To complete it faster:

• Reset your character to return to spawn
• At spawn, take the left path near the building
• Jump and dash onto the roof
• Move toward a small cabin
• Enter the cabin

Inside, you will find a cat sleeping on the bed. Pick up the cat, then return to the secret NPC in Goblin Cave to complete the quest.

Grass Ore Quest Rewards

After turning in the quest:

• You receive 50 Grass Ore
• Grass Ore has a 0.1 multiplier
• The quest can only be completed once per character

If your Grass Ore is deleted or sold, it cannot be recovered. Using an alternate account does not help either, since Grass Ore cannot be traded.

Many players wonder if Grass Ore has a hidden effect when used in crafting.
