Understanding the gacha system in Dragon Traveler is extremely important, especially if you want to manage your resources properly and avoid wasting premium currency. Each banner has a different purpose, different rates, and uses different tickets. Some banners are friendly for free-to-play players, while others are clearly designed for long-term or high-investment pulls. This guide breaks down every gacha banner currently available on the global version in a clear and simple way. Also check out our Dragon Traveler Codes & Tier List for more rewards!

Overview of Dragon Traveler Gacha Banners

For global launch, Dragon Traveler currently features the following gacha banners:

  • Limited Summon
  • Luminary Summon
  • Mythical Summon
  • Limited Artifact Summon
  • Artifact Summon
  • Invocation Summon

The Taiwan server has additional banners, but those are not covered here until they officially arrive on global.

Limited Summon (Rate-Up Character Banner)

The Limited Summon is the main featured character banner in Dragon Traveler. This is where new and powerful units are usually introduced.

Key details:

  • 100% chance to obtain the rate-up character when pulling an SSR
  • No other SSR units can appear on this banner
  • 2.2% base rate for the featured unit
  • Guaranteed copy every 5 multi-pulls
  • Pity carries over between banners of the same type

Currency used:

  • Fated Summoning Ticket
  • Diamonds

This banner is one of the safest options if you are targeting a specific character, since there is no risk of losing the SSR pull to another unit.

Standard Summon (Permanent Banner)

The Standard Summon banner contains most non-EX characters after their limited banners end and enough time has passed.

Key details:

  • 3% base SSR rate
  • Wishlist unlocks after 300 combined pulls across standard and limited banners
  • Each character on the wishlist has a 20% chance to appear
  • Guaranteed random unit every 5 multi-pulls

Important note:

  • Scheherazade becomes available after 800 total pulls on this banner

Currency used:

  • Summoning Ticket
  • Diamonds

This banner is best for long-term progression and building character variety rather than chasing specific units.

Mythical Summon (EX Light & Dark Units)

The Mythical Summon banner is used for EX characters, which are usually Light and Dark units. This banner is very expensive and should be approached carefully.

Key details:

  • You do not pull the character directly
  • You summon character shards instead
  • You can freely select which EX unit you are targeting
  • Each pull gives 1 to 5 shards, or sometimes other resources
  • Hard pity at 300 pulls through guaranteed shard milestones

Currency used:

  • Mythical Summoning Ticket

This banner is not recommended for early-game or free-to-play players unless you are fully committed to saving resources.

Limited Artifact Summon

This banner focuses on rate-up SSR artifacts that can be equipped on your dragon.

Key details:

  • 2.5% base rate for SSR artifacts
  • Guaranteed SSR artifact every 25 pulls
  • Pulls may also give other resources instead of artifacts

Currency used:

  • Fated Golden Horn

This banner is ideal when a powerful limited artifact is available and you already have a solid character lineup.

Artifact Summon (Standard Artifact Banner)

The standard Artifact Summon banner offers permanent artifacts without limited rate-ups.

Key details:

  • 4.6% base SSR artifact rate
  • Guaranteed SSR artifact every 25 pulls
  • Pulls are not guaranteed to give artifacts every time

Currency used:

  • Golden Horn
  • Diamonds

This banner has better base rates than the limited artifact banner but lacks targeted rate-ups.

Invocation Summon (Wyrmspell Banner)

The Invocation Summon banner is used to obtain Wyrmspells, which provide passive bonuses to your dragon.

Key details:

  • Uses a phase-based system instead of standard rates
  • SSR invocation guaranteed after 600 pulls
  • You may obtain SSR earlier by reaching the Arcane Genesis phase through RNG

Currency used:

  • Legacy Dragon Crystal
  • Diamonds

This banner is highly RNG-dependent and best treated as an endgame system.

Dragon Traveler’s gacha system is layered and complex, with each banner serving a different role in progression. Limited Summons are best for targeting characters, Standard Summons help build depth, and Mythical Summons are long-term investments for EX units.

Artifact and Invocation banners add power but should only be prioritized once your core team is stable. Managing your tickets and diamonds wisely will make a massive difference over time. Knowing which banner to pull on and when to save is the real key to progressing efficiently in Dragon Traveler.
