What Is Roaming Oak Timber in Heartopia?
Roaming Oak Timber is a special crafting material used in several furniture recipes. Many players first notice it when checking advanced crafting blueprints, only to realize they have no idea where it comes from.
Unlike common wood types, Roaming Oak Timber does not drop from regular trees. It can only be obtained from a unique creature known as the Roaming Oak Tree, which is not available early in the game.
How to Unlock Roaming Oak Trees
Before you can collect Roaming Oak Timber, you must complete a specific questline. The process begins by meeting an NPC named Oak-Oak. He only appears when you receive a quest related to him.
Once the quest is active, his location will be marked on your map, making him easy to find. He usually appears in the Spine Pine Forest area. After helping Oak-Oak with his root problem and finishing the entire questline, Roaming Oak Trees will start spawning in your world. Until this quest is completed, the resource is completely locked.
Where to Find Roaming Oak Trees
Roaming Oak Trees are exactly what they sound like. They are large walking trees, often smiling and carrying a small acorn bag. Because of their size and movement, they stand out once you know what to look for.
Unlike Oak-Oak, Roaming Oak Trees do not appear on the map. You will need to explore player housing areas to find them. Walking through different housing zones is the only way to locate one. Only one Roaming Oak Tree spawns per day. When you interact with it, it drops around three pieces of Roaming Oak Timber.
Daily Roaming Oak Timber Limit
Roaming Oak Timber is limited by a daily spawn system. Since only one Roaming Oak Tree appears each day and it drops about three timber pieces, you can only collect three Roaming Oak Timber every 24 hours or until the daily reset. Because of this limit, crafting certain furniture items may take multiple days. Planning ahead is important if you need a large amount of this material.
Roaming Oak Timber is one of Heartopia’s more time-gated resources, but once you understand how it works, it becomes easier to manage. By completing Oak-Oak’s questline, exploring housing areas daily, and keeping track of the reset timer, you can steadily gather what you need for crafting. Patience is key, but the unique furniture pieces are worth the wait.
