The Forge recently received a major update that added a hidden late-game area packed with tough enemies, rare drops, and a powerful new pickaxe. Many players rushed straight in hoping to grab the Dragon Head Pickaxe, only to find it locked behind a long questline. This questline is known as the Cult Quest, and it is mandatory if you want access to the new pickaxe and everything inside Raven Cave.

What the Cult Quest Is in The Forge
The Cult Quest is a late-game questline located in Raven Cave on Island 3. It is part of the newest update and introduces a secret cave filled with new ores, strong enemies, and multiple NPC quests.
Completing this questline is required to unlock the Dragon Head Pickaxe, which is considered a late-game tool. Before starting, make sure you meet these requirements:
- At least Level 70
- Have the Portal Tool from Sensei Morrow’s quests
- Unlock access to Frost Spire Expanse
Without these, you cannot reach the quest area.
How to Access Raven Cave
Once you are on Island 3, your first task is to unlock Raven Cave itself.
- Travel to Frost Spire Expanse using the portal tool.
- Find and complete the Raven Bird NPC quest.
- This quest rewards you with the Red Cave Key.
- Use the key to open Raven Cave.
Inside the cave, move forward until you reach a glowing red orb crystal. From there, go through the leaves on the right side to enter a hidden chamber. This is where the Cult Quest begins.
All Cult Quests Explained
Inside the hidden chamber, you will see:
- A locked Dragon Head Pickaxe
- Three Cult NPCs behind it
You must complete all three quests to remove the lock.
Cult Quest 1: Prismatic Heart (Orin)
- NPC: Orin (right side)
- Required Item: Prismatic Heart
How to get it:
- Farm Spiders in the Spider Cave on Frost Spire Expanse
- Drop rate: 1 in 33,333
- This is a legendary drop, so expect heavy grinding
Once you obtain the Prismatic Heart, return to Orin and turn it in.
Cult Quest 2: Yeti Heart (Jalakan)
- NPC: Jalakan (middle)
- Required Item: Yeti Heart
How to get it:
- Farm Yetis in the Peak Cave
- Use the Cannon on the island to reach the area
- Yetis have over 10,000 HP
- Drop rate: 1 in 44,444
You will need solid armor and a good weapon to farm this efficiently. After getting the heart, return to Jalakan.
Cult Quest 3: Golem Heart (Morvith)
- NPC: Morvith (left side)
- Required Item: Golem Heart
How to get it:
- Defeat the Ice Golem Boss
- Location: Summit’s Edge, behind the Rune Door
- Boss HP: Around 15,000
- Drop rate: 1 in 55,555
This is the hardest and longest part of the questline. The boss hits hard, so preparation is important.
Unlocking the Dragon Head Pickaxe
After turning in all three hearts:
- The lock on the pickaxe is removed
- You can finally unlock and purchase the Dragon Head Pickaxe
This pickaxe is designed for late-game players and pairs well with the new content found inside Raven Cave.
The Cult Quest in The Forge is not a quick side mission. It is a full late-game grind that tests your patience, gear, and persistence. While the drop rates are harsh, completing all three Cult Quests is the only way to unlock the Dragon Head Pickaxe and fully experience the new update.
