The latest Devil Hunter update finally adds two brand-new sea-based devil contracts that many players have been waiting for: Octopus Devil and Shark Devil. Both contracts come with unique requirements and specific locations, so if you do not know where to go, it can feel confusing at first.

Important Requirement Before Starting
To unlock the Shark Devil contract, you must be in the Public Safety faction.
- If you are a Yakuza, you currently cannot access the Shark Devil quest.
- There is no option yet to leave or change factions.
- Make sure you join Public Safety before attempting this guide.
Shark Devil Contract Quest Location
Once you are in Public Safety, follow these steps:
- Go to Public Safety Headquarters
- Head to Floor 0
- Find the door that appears closed
- Press E to interact with it
- Talk to the hidden Shark Devil NPC
- Choose the dialogue option related to power
After this, the Shark Devil quest will be unlocked.
Shark Devil Quest Requirements
To complete the Shark Devil contract, you must finish all of these tasks:
- Kill 5 sea-based entities (example: Fish Devil)
- Unlock the Fish Devil contract
- Defeat the Octopus Devil one time
- Unlock the Sea Cucumber Devil contract
- Kill 3 players
All steps must be completed in order to fully unlock the Shark Devil contract.
Octopus Devil Location (Fastest Way)
The Octopus Devil is found in the open world, not inside a building. Steps to reach it:
- Exit the Public Safety Headquarters
- Head outside and follow the main path forward
- Continue running until you see a large enemy area
- The Octopus Devil will already be visible from a distance
You can interact with the Octopus Devil to start the fight immediately.
How to Get the Octopus Devil Contract
To unlock the Octopus Devil contract:
- Talk to the Octopus Devil
- Start the fight
- Defeat the boss at least once
The fight can be difficult, especially solo. Players using strong combat styles like Calamity Fist perform much better. Grouping up can also make the battle significantly easier. Even if you die, the important part is learning the location and mechanics.
