The Tidefall update pushes Fisch deeper into true late-game territory, and Thalassar’s Ruin Rod stands out as one of the most demanding but rewarding rods introduced in this phase. This rod is clearly designed for players who already have strong resources, high-end rods, and a lot of C$ to spend. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!

While its base stats may look risky at first glance, the powerful passive effects completely change how this rod performs, especially when farming high-rarity fish. In this guide, you will find a full breakdown of how to unlock Thalassar’s Ruin Rod, its requirements, stats, passive effects, and the best enchants to use.

Thalassar’s Ruin Rod Fisch Guide: How to Obtain , Stats, Passive, and Best Enchants!

Relics

  • 2x Cosmic Relic Can be obtained from Starfall events, admin events, or by using the Rod of the Cosmos.

  • Requis Essence Obtained from the second Magical Diver quest or by mining Dripstone.

How to Unlock Thalassar’s Ruin Rod

Once all requirements are ready, follow these steps carefully:

  1. Before entering the main Tidefall area, take the small path leading to a red-colored room.
  2. Place all required items onto the available pedestals.
  3. Approach the locked door nearby.
  4. Equip the Trident Rod, then interact with the door to unlock it.
  5. Enter the Thalassar’s Ruin Rod room and pay 14,500,000 C$ to obtain the rod.

Thalassar’s Ruin Rod Stats

Compared to the Trident Rod, Thalassar’s Ruin Rod has much higher risk due to negative stats. However, these downsides are offset by its extremely profitable passive effects.

  • Lure Speed: 200%
  • Luck: 450%
  • Control: -0.2
  • Resilience: -75%
  • Max Kg: Infinite

This rod is not beginner-friendly and requires good control management.

Thalassar’s Ruin Rod Passive Effects

The real strength of this rod lies in its passive abilities:

  • -25% Progress Speed, but
  • 30% chance to trigger Ocean’s Ruin Mutation, which increases fish value by more than 10x
  • Every 60 seconds, you automatically receive a fish with the Forgotten Mutation

Because of these effects, Thalassar’s Ruin Rod is one of the best rods in the game for pure profit and farming high-value fish.

Best Enchants for Thalassar’s Ruin Rod

To balance out the negative Control and Resilience, the following enchants are highly recommended:

  • Herculean Increases Max Kg, Control, and Progress Speed.
  • Controlled Focuses on improving Control to make reeling safer and more consistent.
  • Steady Provides extra Progress Speed with a small Control boost.
  • Unbreakable Adds Max Kg and basic Control, making the rod more stable.

For best results, use Exalted Relic, Cosmic Relic, or high-quality Enchant Relics when rolling enchants.

Thalassar’s Ruin Rod is a high-risk, high-reward late-game rod in Fisch. Even though its base stats look punishing, the passive effects make it one of the strongest options for generating massive C$ from high-rarity fish. If you already have the required capital and items, this rod is absolutely worth targeting in the Tidefall update.
