The Brine Storm update finally gives a real purpose to one of Fisch’s most forgotten areas. While this update is not massive, it adds a limited-time event, new fish, UI improvements, and time-sensitive content that players should not ignore. This guide breaks down everything included in the Brine Storm update, from how to reach the Brine Pool to what rewards you can get during the event. Also check out our Fisch Codes for more rewards!
What Is the Brine Storm Event in Fisch?
Brine Storm is a special weather-based event that only takes place inside the Brine Pool, a hidden area located deep within Desolate Deep. This zone used to be mostly empty after players finished hunting the Spectral Serpent, but the update makes it relevant again with exclusive fish spawns.
The event can only trigger while Rain is active on the server. Every 30 seconds during rain, the game rolls a 1% chance for Brine Storm to begin. When it starts, you will see a notification, and the entire Brine Pool area changes color to a blue tone with glowing geysers. Important note: Brine Storm only lasts 2 minutes, so preparation matters.
How to Get to the Brine Pool Location
To reach Brine Pool, start near the Statue of Sovereignty and head behind it using your boat. The easiest way is by GPS, roughly around negative coordinates near the Lost Jungle area. Look for a buoy marking the dive point.
Required items:
- Tidebreaker
- Super Flippers
- Advanced Diving Gear or Water Bubble
- Glider
Dive down into Desolate Deep and carefully avoid underwater mines. Once inside, take the right passage, then later choose the left path to reach the Desolate Pocket. From there, follow the lantern near the NPC Clarence, climb the ledges, glide across platforms, and zipline upward. The entrance to Brine Pool is located just behind the zipline.
All Brine Storm Fish and Best Bait
During Brine Storm, four exclusive fish can be caught. These only appear while the event is active.
Stormgazer
- A rare event fish with glowing visuals. It appears during Brine Storm and is one of the more common catches.
Brine Sovereign
- This is the Exotic fish from the event.
- Preferred bait: Fish Head
- Preferred time: Night
Caustic Wyrm
- The Secret rarity fish of Brine Storm.
- Preferred bait: Truffleworm
- Preferred time: Night
Dissolved Bone
- Another event-exclusive catch that completes the Brine Pool bestiary set.
- While Brine Storm is active, lure speed is reduced by 50%, so expect slower catches and plan accordingly.
New Bestiary and Rod Tracking System
This update also adds a Rod Bestiary. You can now see every fishing rod you have discovered, along with details on where each rod is obtained. This makes progression tracking much clearer, especially for newer players trying to unlock older rods.
Halo Variants and Visual Settings Changes
Players with the supporter game pass now have access to new Halo variants, including limited ones like the Snowflake Halo. Some halos have fixed colors, while others remain customizable. The settings menu has been fully redesigned. You can now manually control:
- Brightness
- Saturation
- Audio cues
- Clouds
- Shadows
- Visual effects
Performance Mode was removed, but its features are now fully customizable, giving players more control without sacrificing visuals they want to keep.
Limited-Time Content You Should Not Miss
The Astraeus Serenade Rod is now on a countdown timer. You have roughly two weeks to finish the quest before the rod is permanently removed from the game.
Additionally, the Void Collection Crate is available for a limited time in supported regions. It includes rare rod skins and will be removed when the Valentine’s update arrives. Miss it, and you’ll need to trade for those skins later.
The Brine Storm update may be small, but it adds meaningful content to Fisch, especially for collectors and completion-focused players. With exclusive fish, a time-limited event, improved settings, and countdown-based items, this update rewards players who prepare and act quickly. If you have been ignoring the Brine Pool, now is the perfect time to revisit it before the event and limited items disappear.
