If you have already finished the Red Gates and the quest still refuses to move forward, this is the part the game wants you to struggle with. The Blue Gates are the second half of the Tomb of the Star unlock quest in Jujutsu Zero.
After completing all four Red Gates, the Lazy Sorcerer NPC assigns you a new task: close 10 Blue Gates scattered across the map. The game provides no map markers, no order, and no clear hints. You must close all ten gates. Missing even one will block progression.
How the Blue Gate Quest Works
- Blue Gates appear as glowing blue seals
- They are spread across multiple regions
- There is no required order
- Fog and terrain are intentionally used to hide them
- The quest updates only after all ten are closed
This quest is designed to confuse you. Knowing what to expect is half the battle.

How to Know You Closed All 10 Blue Gates
Once the final Blue Gate is closed:
- The quest will complete automatically
- No additional confirmation prompt appears
- You can now access the elevator near the Doctor NPC
If nothing happens, one gate was missed.
What to Do After the Blue Gates
After completing all ten:
- Head to the elevator near the Doctor NPC
- Enter Tomb of the Star
- Unlock vow exchanges and clan trading systems
This is the real reward.
The Lazy Sorcerer Blue Gate quest in Jujutsu Zero is deliberately frustrating, but not difficult once you understand its design. Move slowly, check edges and corners, and avoid rushing. Once all ten Blue Gates are closed, you permanently unlock one of the most important progression areas in the game, and you never have to do this again.
