What Is Winter Preparation in Heartopia

Winter Preparation is the second part of the winter event storyline. In the earlier phase, players completed quests from specific NPCs and slowly unlocked rewards. In this phase, the objective stays the same but becomes more flexible.

You now collect Stamps from town residents, including NPCs and players. This event is time-limited, usually lasting only a few days. Because of that, it is best to focus on completing the tasks as soon as possible, especially if you play solo.

How to Start Winter Prep as a Solo Player

To begin collecting Stamps, you need an item called Water Pump Deployment. The game usually gives this item automatically, so you just need to open it from your inventory.

After that, you can start interacting with residents. There are two possible ways:

  • Asking other players for Stamps
  • Completing quests from NPCs

Interacting with players costs stamina, usually around 30 per interaction. To avoid running out of stamina, bring cheap food, cook simple meals like fish and chips, or sleep to recover stamina.

NPCs That Give Stamps

For solo players, NPCs are the most reliable option. Only certain NPCs can give Stamps, and they are marked with a Quest Maker Setup. These NPCs are spread across the map and are easy to find if you explore a bit.

Common NPC locations include:

  • Well Mountain
  • Deer Tower
  • Jump Puzzle areas
  • Town centers and merchant areas

Once you find them, talk to the NPC, accept the quest, and complete the request.

Common Winter Prep Quests

Most Winter Preparation quests are simple and do not take much time. Some common examples include:

  • Delivering fertilizer
  • Catching insects in forest areas
  • Giving fish to residents
  • Placing a water pump in the sea

After finishing a quest, you will usually receive around 500 gold and one Stem. Your progress will update immediately after the reward animation.

Tips to Finish Winter Prep Faster

If you want to clear Winter Preparation quickly as a solo player, keep these tips in mind:

  • Prepare fertilizer and fish in advance
  • Focus on NPC quests to save stamina
  • Choose quests in nearby locations to reduce travel time
  • Collect insects, mushrooms, or items while moving between areas

With good planning, you can complete all Stem requirements without any trouble.

What Happens After Collecting All Stamps

After you collect all required Stamps, the Winter Preparation task is considered complete. There is no major claimable reward, but it unlocks story progress and winter-related changes in the world. NPC dialogue will change, and you will see hints about upcoming features like the skating area planned by Eric. The skating location is usually in the northern part of the map, although it may not be fully built yet.

Winter Preparation in Heartopia is a relaxed and solo-friendly event. The quests are easy, the NPCs are accessible, and the requirements are manageable even without help from other players. As long as you manage your stamina and items wisely, you can finish Winter Prep smoothly and be ready for the next winter content in Heartopia.
