New Units in Update 23
Update 23 introduces the following units:
- Kurumi (Zafkiel) – Heaven – A high-damage unit obtained through the Kurumi quest and the new Chronicles of Timeless Eternity game mode. Her map has specific mechanics, so understanding the stage is key to successfully claiming her.
- Frieren (Thousand Years) – Limited – A powerful, limited-time unit obtained through completing the Frieren quest in her own 50-wave dungeon. Perfect for players looking to evolve Fyron or strengthen their DPS lineup.
- Cartethyia (Echo of Oblivion) – Limited – A rare unit obtained via the Cartethyia Wheel Spin. It has a low drop chance (0.1%) but can also be crafted using materials from the wheel, offering an alternative to pure luck.
How to Get Kurumi
To unlock Kurumi:
- Locate Kurumi NPC in the lobby.
- Speak to her to claim the Kurumi quest.
- Complete the quest in the Kurumi Chronicles of Timeless Eternity 50-wave game mode.
- Drop chance starts at 3.05% and can be increased by adjusting the Difficulty Modifier.
Tip: Read the stage info carefully. Kurumi’s dungeon has unique mechanics that can affect how fast you complete the waves. Use strong DPS units and plan your unit placement strategically.
How to Get Frieren
To obtain Frieren:
- Find Frieren NPC near the world boss in the lobby.
- Claim her quest.
- Complete the Frieren Chronicles of Timeless Eternity 50-wave dungeon.
Strategy: Focus on using your best DPS units. Buff units and certain support characters cannot be deployed in this stage, so maximize damage output with units like Shinra, Gilgamesh, or Typhon. Completing the dungeon will reward you with the limited Frieren unit.
How to Get Cartethyia
Cartethyia can be obtained through the new Wheel Spin system:
- Drop Chance: 0.1% per spin.
- Alternative: Craft her using materials obtained from the wheel spins.
This gives players an additional method to obtain Cartethyia without relying purely on luck.
Update 23 offers players multiple ways to expand their roster with Kurumi, Frieren, and Cartethyia. By completing the quests and game modes tied to each unit, you can add these powerful characters to your team. Focus on understanding the dungeon mechanics, preparing your strongest units, and using the difficulty modifier to maximize your chances of success. These new units bring fresh strategies and options to Anime Guardians, making Update 23 a must-play for collectors and competitive players alike.
