Anime Reversal META Tier List – Best Units Ranked!
Anime Reversal has officially launched, and with the release comes one big question from players: which units are actually worth using? After early access testing and trying out every available unit, clear META picks have already started to form. Also check out our Anime Reversal Codes for more rewards!
Some units shine on their own, while others become extremely strong when paired with the right teammates. This tier list focuses on overall performance, passives, damage output, and usefulness in real gameplay situations. Below is a breakdown of the best units in Anime Reversal right now, ranked based on current META value.
Anime Reversal META Tier List

S-Tier Units (Top META Picks)
Egress
Egress is one of the strongest damage dealers in the game, especially when paired with Sunjin Wu. His passive grants a massive damage boost when Sunjin Wu is on the field, along with bonus damage to bosses. This makes Egress one of the best boss killers available. While he is not a hybrid unit, his raw damage potential places him firmly in S-Tier.
Shanks
Shanks is an extremely powerful mythic unit with high damage and crowd control. He has a chance to deal bonus damage per attack and is expected to provide stun effects, making him incredibly valuable for difficult stages. Even as a ground-only unit, his performance rivals or even surpasses Egress in certain situations.
Firefist (Ace)
Firefist is one of the most broken units currently in the game. His burn damage scales directly with his attack power and lasts for several seconds, dealing massive damage over time. Against both mobs and bosses, Firefist consistently performs at an S-Tier level.
A-Tier Units (Strong and Reliable)
Rudo
Rudo is the best ground AOE mythic unit available right now. He gains stacking damage for every enemy defeated, reaching extremely high damage numbers once fully stacked. After evolution, his damage output becomes absurd, making him a top choice for long stages and farming.
Chia
Chia excels as a boss-focused unit. With guaranteed critical hits on certain attacks and bonus damage to bosses, she performs better than many mythics in boss-heavy content. She also benefits greatly from synergy with Sunjin Wu.
Amy
Amy is unique due to her execute mechanic. She instantly kills enemies, including bosses, once they drop below a certain HP threshold. While her raw damage is lower than top DPS units, her finishing ability makes her extremely valuable, especially when paired with Rio.
B-Tier Units (Situational but Useful)
Sunjin Wu
Sunjin Wu provides strong passive buffs that scale over time, increasing both range and damage. While he is not the best standalone mythic, his value skyrockets when paired with units like Egress or Chia.
Rio
Rio is currently the only true hybrid unit in the game, making her very beginner-friendly. She deals increased damage to enemies under low HP, which makes her an excellent partner for execution-based units like Amy. Her flexible placement makes her easy to use in most modes.
Angel
Angel gains stacking damage for every enemy defeated, similar to Rudo but at a slower pace. He performs well in extended battles and has good synergy with Rio, though his overall damage is slightly lower than top-tier options.
C-Tier Units (Niche or Limited Use)
Goku (Heal Unit)
Goku provides healing and bonus damage to flying enemies, but heal units are currently restricted or unusable in many stages. While his stats are solid, his limited availability makes him less useful in the current META.
Jonin
Jonin functions more as a support unit, increasing damage taken by enemies affected by burn. While helpful in team setups, his personal damage is lower compared to main DPS units.
Bachi
Bachi is a battle pass unit with strong burst damage every few attacks. Despite her impressive passive, her average DPS falls behind higher-tier units, keeping her out of the top META.
Anime Reversal’s META heavily favors high-damage ground units with strong passives and synergy potential. Units like Egress, Shanks, and Firefist currently dominate most content, while hybrid and support units play more situational roles.
As the game continues to update, tier placements may change, especially with new units, balance patches, and additional mechanics. For now, focusing on S and A-Tier units will give you the smoothest progression and best performance across game modes.
