All Wands Explained – Ranked from Best to Worse
1. Astral Wand
The Astral Wand is one of the safest and most flexible options in the game. Its Astral Eyes ability lets you see through walls, which removes most ambush risks and helps with planning routes.
Blink is a major strength, giving you instant repositioning and escape options. The Swap and Offer/Trade skills also allow clutch rescues and creative plays in group runs. This wand works well for both solo survival and coordinated teams.
2. Wand of Telekinesis
The Wand of Telekinesis excels at crowd control. You can manipulate objects to control space and slow enemies down.
Telelock is especially useful for shutting doors and escape paths, while Teleblast adds reliable knockback and damage. Its defensive spells scale well into the late game, making it a consistent choice for longer runs.
3. Wand of Illusions
This wand focuses on distraction and deception. Clones pull enemy attention away from you and your teammates, giving you breathing room. Mimicry helps you avoid threats and survive risky encounters. The only downside is cooldown management, since you cannot spam its abilities constantly. It is a strong pick for solo players who prefer smart positioning.
4. Blessed Wand
The Blessed Wand is built for support. It offers healing, shielding, and revival tools that help teams survive difficult moments. Mercy dash allows quick repositioning to protect allies in danger. However, it has very low offensive power, so it relies heavily on teamwork.
5. Wand of Fire
The Wand of Fire deals strong area damage and damage-over-time effects. Its mines can block paths and control enemy movement. Ignis Legs gives a burst of speed for escapes. The main risk is friendly fire and self-damage, which can punish careless play.
6. Wand of Winds
This wand is free and available right away. It shines in mobility, especially with Up Dog chains for vertical movement. Tempest offers basic crowd control, but its damage does not scale well into the late game. It is useful early on but weaker in tougher stages.
7. Wand of Minor Arcanes
Teleportana helps with reaching higher floors quickly, and Luxana provides temporary lighting. Unfortunately, Grabana has very little impact in combat. Overall, this wand struggles in dangerous situations and is quickly replaced by better options.
8. Grotesque Wand
The Grotesque Wand uses transformation spells to briefly disrupt enemies and create chaos in tight areas. Its damage and control are inconsistent, and it falls off fast after the early game. It can be fun to experiment with but is not reliable for long runs.
Best Wand Spells to Prioritize
Some spells perform well across many builds and are worth learning early:
-
Blink: Emergency escape and fast repositioning
-
Up Dog: Strong vertical movement and safety
-
Tempest: Crowd control and space clearing
-
Dub-ill-oo: Clone-based aggro control
-
Custodia: Shields allies during critical moments
-
Telelock: Temporarily blocks enemy routes
Mixing these spells with the right wand can cover most combat situations.
Understanding how each wand works helps you build smarter strategies and survive longer runs. Experiment with different combinations, focus on mobility and control, and adjust your setup based on your playstyle. With the right wand and spell choices, YapYap becomes much easier to handle from early floors to late-game challenges.
